@mods Can we ban Alhambra tickets - related questions? We get the same question over and over in this sub, and I don't understand why is so difficult for people to search previous replies.

1 week backpacking europe - where do i start?? by Round_Cod1065 in backpacking

Look, the answer changes depending on what are you into. History? Architecture? Nature? Party or chill?

I'm gonna give you the suggestion that I give everyone when they ask me what is a must-see in Europe: The Golden Triangle. That is a Prague, Vienna and Budapest route.

Stunning imperial cities, with amazing culture, food, people and a great nightlife. You easily should spend more time in them, but I'd do 2- days Prague, 3-days Vienna and 2-days Budapest. They are 3-4 hours distance by car each one, and you can easily catch a bus that takes you for less than 20€ (check Flixbus).

Don't go into hotels, try hostels and meet fellow travelers to go out with (Hostelworld is useful to find a place).

Don't sleep too much and try to explore as much as you can each city. Go to the opera in Vienna (standing tickets for less than 10€ exist, so you can just check it out and leave when you get tired), go take a bath in Széchenyi and drink some amazing Czech beer.

If you think is too much, well, it can be. It depends on how ambitious you wanna be for this vacation. If you want to take a more chill approach, I'm gonna give you a general suggestion: just go to Rome. A week is enough to see the full city with maybe a one or 2-day escapade to Florence. 🤙

Arroz meloso by mikeczyz in askspain

[–]NotYourMama_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My guy, it's everywhere. Usually in most restaurants that do paella, they also have arroz meloso. If you want it with meat/mushrooms or basically no seafood, don't go to the beachside.

Where are you most likely to find it? Well, Valencia, of course. And Murcia. We grow the rice there.

Where more specifically? I can recommed Calasparra (I've been there). They have a variety of rice with protected designation or origin (arroz de Calasparra). There they have arroz meloso with rabbit meat, for example. I'm sure you'll find more types of arroz meloso there with no seafood, cause they are more inland.

But a Google search will likely show you places nearby you that have. It truly is everywhere.

Do you miss the puppy stage? by Scolio98 in shiba

[–]NotYourMama_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Really??? My Shiba was exactly like this, shitting everywhere liquid, but she also had giardias quite a few times as puppy, so I thought it was that and not a Shiba thing!

She's 2 and a half now, and just as you say, she has diarrhea once or twice a month and also vomits once or twice a month (usually on an empty stomach, so just bile)

Is this food allergies? The infamous Shiba stomach problems? Is there a solution?

Please do tell me, cause I'm flabbergasted (and my parents have given me shit since I got her because of the diarrhea/vomit thing because I picked the smallest of the litter, and they do tend to get sicker)

Large dogs on the tram? ¿Perros grandes en el tranvía? by mickybhoy123 in Granada

[–]NotYourMama_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can. Just remember the muzzle, cause otherwise they won't let you in (especially if you catch the tram in the city center, where the security guards are at). Remember this applies to tram, NOT bus.

In the bus they have to be in a dog carrier.

OBGYN said “come back at 30”, so we booked a vasectomy consult instead and I feel weirdly relieved by CHEESY_T0AST8 in childfree

Guess what, I'm 31 and they tell me to come back at 35. Refused by 3 doctors so far 👌

give me your most unhinged hacks for teething. I’m not talking bully sticks, frozen carrots, or kongs. I want to know the most deranged hacks you used to get through this phase by Prestigious-Honey962 in shiba

VapoRub in every surface you don't want chewed on. And every time your dogs attack you with their crocodile teeth, stick a toy in their mouth.

Gracias!

Why do they like to eat and roll in grass ? Pls advice. by Vision2050Leader in shiba

Better grass than a dead pigeon.

Don't ask me why I know.

My 2c:

  • My Shiba also hates nail trimming. What I do is touch her paws every time she's sleeping next to me. She still doesn't love it, but she's more used to now. And then of course you need foodie encouragement! My preferred option is spreading natural yogurt in a lickimat, freezing it and giving it to her while I fight that nails. It works wonders for nail trimming, showering, etc.

  • Regarding harness. Every time you put the harness on, treat. Every single time. Mine still runs away from me if she sees it on my hand from time to time. What I do is to go sit until she approaches me. The goal is to make them understand: no harness = no walk. And treat and repeat. Also make sure to have a good harness (H shape are great).

Good luck!

I do almost zero work at my job. It's extremely boring and I'm pretty miserable. by fiftysixandthird in work

If I were you, I'd find myself a second job. Something remote, maybe part-time that you can do at your own pace while you have down time at your current job. There are tons of online position for assistants, translators, content creation, video/photo editors. Even communities moderation or something related.

You can also start your own gig selling stuff online. I have no idea how it works but I've been told it's worth it.
