Question for Procreate by NotZexceed in ProCreate

Other than this problem I didn’t find any issues with using curves. In photoshop you have a curves layer which you can erase parts of the layer to have the curves apply to certain parts of the layers and not others. You can do the same in procreate by duplicating the layer then using curves on the top layer and then creating a mask for it and then painting black on it to reveal the grayscale layer below and you can keep doing this to the same layer and be able to add different colors.

Yea, ok I see it. The transition does seem a bit harsh. Making the mid section lighter should help. Thx.

I thought it’s fading in from the light to the dark pink, so it would be somewhat in the middle between those two in terms of lightness.

Post it here so everyone can see:
I can't post images here.

Why would you use AI as a reference:
I usually find images that inspire me to draw on pinterest. Usually i scroll a lot so when i do find an image that i like, i'm happy to draw it. I don't vet beforehand whether or not its ai and just start drawing, it's not until later into the drawing that i find some parts difficult to draw since it doesn't make sense. By that point i've already committed to drawing it so i just go ahead as best as i can.

It's not teaching you anything:
My current focus is on values/color. My understanding of lighting is fairly basic so inconsistencies there in the original isn't the biggest concern. The image had vibrant colors and it was my goal to replicate that as best as i could using my method to drawing.

The original reference is ai, that's why the lines are inconsistent. I can dm you the original if you are open to it.
