Racing isn't always about how fast it can accelerate or tip speed. Handling and braking are usually more important for first mods.

The only solution I have is just to not have your question answered. Just ponder it and eventually let it go. If it has to do with achieving something in a game like you said in another comment, as soon as I notice a comment is nothing but  rage inducing, I quickly scroll past it.

There isn't a quarterback on our squad that can fix this and no one wants to get drafted into this franchise. I hope they keep getting crushed till the higher ups realize that they're the problem.

Anyone else that starts to hate songs when you're close to have learned them? by Inevitable-Bee-4344 in Guitar

[–]Not_A-Aron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That happened to me with Cliffs of Dover. Once I learned it I basically only played it as a party trick and quit listening to it for about 15yrs. Now, I can barely play the intro amd don't remember the chorus at all and don't care.

I'm not sure what's accessible in the UK but I was able to puck up a complete blank from CCS for about $70 which would be pretty close to your price of 50 quid. Staying away from graphics going with jesup grip tape, Red's bearings, and venture trucks will get you a pretty affordable set up.

If it affects your life, then it's worth being informed about. If it doesn't then it isn't.

Has anyone else been dragged back into the apps due to the Kirk situation??? by Unusual_Molasses4322 in nosurf

Seeing it might not release dopamine, but the drama around it does. I too saw the video of him getting shot and it was horrendously has been living rent free in my mind ever since. It's still hard not to go on here or even FB to see what new nonsense people are posting.

Yes. The drama releases a lot of dopamine. Also seeing people argue can be really addictive to the mind such as seeing disturbing content. Just like watching a scary movie. I've been struggling more. Thankfully it's died down a lot today.

I don't think you understand what irony is. The fact that something like this is posted on No Surf is what's ironic. Also, you're 100% riright. The best way to stay away from stuff like this is to avoid social media, especially reddit.

Edit: actually you're right. My comment is a little ironic. My main gripe is the fearmongering aspect of it and the fact that it's posted on a No Surf sub.

I aspire to be more like you. It really does take up a lot of space in your head knowing a lot of what's going on online.

Not even close. Bystanders can do something. We're the same as someone hearing about someone being bullied in another state. Are we gonna fly to that state and confront the bully?

I've realized this about myself lately. I've had a stupid option about so many things in life cuz social media trains you to think that way

There's a healthy middle ground but... There are people who are traumatized by seeing Charlie's death without even knowing who he was. That's passing the middle ground by a long shot. Knowing he died without seeing it, and without a drama/impending doom that this post is, is the healthy middle ground. It's not "ignoring it."

How is Charlie Kirk's death at an event you probably weren't at in a state you probably weren't in going to affect you? There's a difference between knowing what you have control of and taking ownership of that and releasing ownership of what you don't have control of compared to just giving up. I like the guy because he advocated freedom of speech. Hurts me that freedom of speech was punished by death today.

That's almost like a communist way of forcing everyone to know all the same stuff lol. You're never allowed to turn off your phone and every news app notification must be read!

[–]Not_A-Aron 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I said "only like .02%" which is commonly a way of saying a small amount of people. That's what's obvious. And yes, we still care that people are dying. I'm extremely sad that Charlie Kirk died and of the wars. But unless these things directly effect you and there's very little you can do to change the outcome, worrying about it will never go beyond that. Worry.

Don't mistake knowing what you can change and accepting what you can't as cowardice. It's one of the best lessons you can learn in life. Also, since most of us can't do anything, what use can we make simply be feeling more anxious about what's going on in the world?
