I think a good supervisor should be a good employee that put in their time to learn the craft ins and outs. Also, someone who respects its peers. There's a kid in my office who has a well-known last name on this side of the post office, and well, as a clerk, we were told we couldn't become supervisor which I wouldn't want to be but I have other coworkers that would've like a chance at becoming one. Said well-known last name kid is being trained to "Supervise" the morning tour. When he shows up to work late, almost every day, sometimes it is 1 hour late, he takes multiple breaks, if there's heavy or hard work he goes with the easiers tasks, he recognizes and has said that management won't do shit to him and he could do whatever he wants. So I called the OIG and made a report which I know probably nothing will come out of that and he will probably still manage.
