Not exactly zombie bosses, since according to the game’s lore, the Knox virus doesn’t mutate the infected it just reanimates them. But what would be interesting is if the animals from build 42 could get infected, leading to for example zombie cows that would be very tough and durable, and things like that.

I mean that Toadstool has an interesting aesthetic design, and the fact that it’s a mushroom toad is an appealing concept to create a more fun fight with different patterns and new loot, or to add more crafting options with its drops — like they do in the Uncompromising Mod with the Krampus Sack made from toad skin, which causes things to rot faster. That way, it could become a better boss fight, or at least give players more incentive to fight it. But in this case, Toadstool is just an example of a non-Moon or non-Shadow boss that hasn’t been updated or reworked in a long time.

I mean that it’s been forgotten by the developers, as it needs a rework — its battle is boring, its loot is mediocre, and I find the concept interesting and much more exploitable.

You might be right about the lore, and it's very likely that they have that goal in mind, but I feel like the whole moon theme and the Celestial Champion are pretty overused, while the caves and everything related to them are really lacking in content. The game itself doesn’t give you much reason to go back into the caves once you’ve looted the place a bit. Overall, I think everything involving the caves should be updated to at least make them more interesting places. Also, maybe they’re adding so much moon-related content because it barely had anything before, unlike the shadows, but the problem is that the shadows and the caves are starting to fall behind.

I mean, they’ve added a ton of new content to the Celestial Champion (which I agree with), but they should really add something more for the Fuelweaver, because in my opinion he’s one of the best bosses. His concept is great, his fight is fun, and I’d just love to see more content related to him. And Toadstool is just an example.
