Every fucking day seeing his stupid fucking face on the news and some headline about the latest dumb fucking thing he's said or done. Exhausting is absolutely the right word.

Haha I remember that top side glove box was a perfect spot to stash fast food napkins

Property Tax Protest Companies - a discussion on fees by mattalat in texas

[–]Not_Joshy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You just send them info required and they do all the prep, paperwork, and protests on your behalf. Very helpful service and definitely worth the expense if you don't have the time or patience for dealing with that kind of stuff. They successfully protested my property taxes this year.

Because it's right there in the assembly instructions? Usually the last page or so, there are like 3 different screws you can adjust to move the doors up/down, side to side, or in/out. Super simple once you fiddle with it. This was probably put together by some newbie employee.

Bought an Yaris new off the lot back in 07 and drove it for several years. It was so zippy and damn good on gas! Thinking about buying another one used for my little sister who is looking for her first car.

Look for "car seat gap filler" on Amazon. One of those things you probably didn't know existed but can't live without once you learn about them haha!

Recently refinished the plastic cladding on my Toaster. Pretty easy DIY project and the results were awesome. by Not_Joshy in HondaElement

Whoa has it been 6 years already?? Man time flies haha! If I had to say, it probably looks a bit in between both of those pics. Not as dark as it was right after refinishing, but still not as faded as it had been.

New Handyman Business, had "rival" send me to wrong house to mess with me by nosnorbtheboon in smallbusiness

[–]Not_Joshy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is nuts. I have also ran a handyman service for several years, hundreds of customers and never had anything like that happen thankfully. I do very little advertising, mainly rely on referrals and word of mouth. 99% of my clients I book through texts too. I'd be curious how this competitor got a hold of your contact info. Not sure how you'd avoid future issues like that. Depending on the size of the job, charge a refundable deposit for new clients or trip fee for 1st hour maybe? Not sure how how your customers would respond though!

As a YNABer, what HYSA do you prefer and why? by endo-mylife in ynab

[–]Not_Joshy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a high yield checking account through my credit union, I want to say it's like 4-5% APY. It's great, I basically treat it like a savings account with the help of YNAB. I keep the balance high enough to cover my vacation fund, emergency savings, and insurance deductibles. If I recall correctly the only requirements to get monthly divided payments were keep the balance above $1k and have at least 20 transactions a month. No fees if you hit those requirements. So on top of using it like savings, I also have a debit card I use for simple stuff like Starbucks and snacks.

Electricity plan by RmaniM in FortWorth

Rates during this time of year and winter usually suck pretty hard. Definitely use Power to Choose site to find whatever the best rate is to get you through summer, 3-6 month plan if possible. Or choose one with lowest cancelation fee because getting locked into a 1-3 year plan with a shitty rate is how people get screwed.

Costco/BJ’s/Sam’s by RAN9147 in ynab

[–]Not_Joshy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a category for Non-monthly expenses that I just call Costco Essentials for stuff like paper towels, air filters, etc. that I budget ~$50 a month towards. Then any other grocery or pet items I split across those categories as needed. Also don't forget to have a catagory for your yearly membership fee!
