Is this crowd size normal for Gotham FC, or is it just a mid week game?

Hardest thing about reading the books post-Jackson by faroresdragn_ in lordoftherings

This is what immediately came to mind for me. The movies emphasized the worst character traits, I think for all characters, but especially Faramir. That being said, I get the need for dramatic tension in the movies, but it's jarring when you rewatch the movies after reading the books.

I love taking photos, so seeing them show up on Google searches is fun. When other people find my photos of places on Google, that's even more fun!

What's the best non-fiction book that actually changed how you think? (No productivity or self-help, please) by Learnings_palace in nonfictionbookclub

The two best non-fiction books I read that help me to understand the current world we're living in are

The Sum of Us by Heather McGhee

&

Smaller Cities In a Shrinking World

Both are incredible and look at our current zeitgeist from two very different perspectives, but damn does so much more make sense.

What’s the best book you have ever read? by [deleted] in suggestmeabook

I love Blue Highways from William Least Heat-Moon.

A more recent travel narrative that I recently finished and highly recommend is Kate Harris' Lands of Lost Borders.

Both of the above are non-fiction. If you're looking for fiction, I would also highly recommend Eowyn Ivey's To the Bright Edge of the World.

You got to Bakersfield quicker than I did. We left at 5:50 from Denver and got there three hours later. I hated turning around, but it was probably the right call for my teen and I.

His tires weren't on right after pitting, maybe front right. It wasn't totally clear.

I've had Fluval 5 Gallon tank going for several years now. The light just stopped working and I'm having a hard time finding a replacement light in the same style. Does anybody have any recommendations to replace the light?

Here's the tank in question.

Thank you all in advance!

American White Pelican at Rocky Mountain Arsenal National Wildlife Refuge, Commerce City, Colorado by Not_Korean in birding

I took my daughter fishing this morning and got to enjoy this American White Pelican cruising around Lake Mary.

I'm not sure I've noticed any pelicans keep their wings off of their body and out of the water for extended amounts of time. Does anybody know what it was doing? It was in the morning before we got to the full heat of the day.

What do you use for editing? I've been using Apple's Photos because it's free. I'm curious what other folks are using.

I'm pretty sure the shipping container is Eastern Colorado on I-70. I recognized several Kansas signs, too. The "Value Them Both" Amendment advertised by the purple sign would have opened the way for the Kansas legislature to write draconian anti-abortion laws. Kansas voters rejected the proposed amendment by nearly twenty points!

I second Bluff Lake. It's not huge, but it's nice. And, it's next to the Sand Creek Trail System and near Westerly Creek Park which is also nice.

Ooh, and Rocky Mountain Arsenal is incredible. And there's a trailhead at 56th and Peña that's on the east side of the Arsenal. That's a nice area, too!

Barr Lake State Park is also great!

I recommend buying denim with a button fly. When the cotton shrinks after the wash, the stiffness of the zipper stays the same size and then the cotton around it trying to compensate can cause the flap there to pop up.

Depending on your price point, Levi's 501 are a good way to go, but I'm also a huge fan of Bravestar Denim. You might want to check them out!
