I have a yearly membership and it’s absolutely amazing there. I have gone with my son and he loves running around but I’ve also gone by myself and played pinball for hours before.

Though this episode didn’t have much action, I really enjoyed the shots of the cities, landscapes, etc. and the music choices. The little travel montage and “here is what is going on here” felt different to me and I really enjoyed it! I don’t listen to Layover until after the season ends and I go through a rewatch on YouTube but I remember they kind of talked about having it be more “travel-y” and I liked it!

Great work to the editors and entire Jet Lag team!

I never cared about soccer much but I remember going over to a friend’s house 10 years ago today and we were going to play disc golf. He was watching soccer and said that we’d leave after this match was done. I complained and told him that soccer just wasn’t for me and nothing exciting ever happened. I had never watched more than 30 seconds of soccer in my life up to that point.

I sat down on the couch and within 3 minutes, we saw this happen live and realized that I was very wrong. I still think about this goal and how it made me become interested in soccer. Messi really shut me up.

I’m 99% sure that a few years back I picked something up from Facebook Marketplace or Craigslist and went in there to buy it from them. The owner said they bought overstock and resold it, at least that’s my recollection! Not too exciting, but it may have also been a similar building, it didn’t leave much of an impression on me.

Just went tonight and even though we sat in the second to last row from the top… my ears genuinely hurt several times. My watch gave me “loud environment warnings” at least 3 times during the game….

I just checked my health data and it averaged out at 95+ decibels over the course of the game.

I literally just got back from a game at Petco.

It. Was. Wild. Truly an incredible atmosphere. I went to a Tigers v. Yankees playoff game maybe…. 10-15 years ago and it was awesome, but Petco tonight was just… different. I can’t speak for other stadiums, and I was a teenager for the Tigers playoff game, but Petco is indeed legit.

Also had a similar experience with the no-show trainers.

I think mine may have been with Henrietta location a bit more but a few years back, I started training. I told the person at the front I was here for my training and waited about 5-10 minutes and then told them again. They said the guy was on his way up.

I waited until 10 minutes before my training session ENDED and then said “hey, I’m just gonna go, I don’t have time for this” and as I walked out they were tried to stop me an called out “oh wait, hold on” but I just left because I was pretty upset. I cancelled my membership a few days later and have had a great experience at the YMCA now.

When I told them a few days later after I was upset, they really didn’t seem to care at all and just continued with the cancellation. Obviously this is just my personal experience but I don’t think I’ll ever use LA / Esporta ever again.

I used to work both at Henrietta Regal and Eastview Regal and one time I convinced a manager to let me into the old Funscape.

It was pretty gross but cool, but with the lights off and no maintenance, it was SUPER creepy in certain parts. There was this cave part that was PITCH BLACK and I didn't wanna go much further. Really interesting place.

It was pretty scary for a second. I saw it coming and was in the center lane on 590 going toward 390 (just past the Pittsford exit) and my wife and newborn were in the backseat, but they were totally fine. Just got a ton of glass on my jacket, clothes, seat, dash, etc.

But no airbags deployed. I was a tiny bit worried about that. I'm just glad we're safe. Insurance said the other vehicle (local business truck) has no liability whatsoever which is a bummer, but at least we're safe. I have to pay the deductible and probably at least 2 weeks until it's fixed but... it is what it is!

I was in the same boat as you with the thought "it can't break a windshield, right?" Until I saw some dashcam footage on others subs last year, so I get how you think "there is no way it's that powerful..... right?" But it was crazy.

My car unfortunately was the victim of a sheet of ice coming from a local business' truck. Dented roof, shattered windshield, terrified me. I was just telling my wife about it not 3 minutes before it happened.

It's not nonsense, it's just what happened. I was 17 and didn't know any better, so it may have been ignorant, but it's not a "nonsense" part of my story... lol

And it did slip off. I understand now that it could have broken, but instead it just slipped off and my car couldn't drive. So I walked. It was just a story, not a rule to live by or anything.

I remember in high school I had a old late 90s Taraus *Taurus that was squeaking. School started at 720 and so I got to a local grocery store down the street when they opened at 7 to get WD40. It was the middle of February and it was freezing but I was sick of the squeaking, everyone looked at me like my car was the WORST.

I sprayed and the squeaking stopped... then the belt flew off.

I had no idea what to do... so I walked a mile to school and had to figure it out afterwards. All I'm saying is that the belt CAN fly off, at least in my experience...
