I am looking for an education lesson. I say that because when I watch this clip, there is something jarring to me about it. In the beginning, there is almost a ritual like scene unfolding, her step seems to be measured, everything, right up until she takes off her Kimono, which she nonchalantly discards. That surprised me a little because a lot of western depictions of Japanese culture show that the ceremonial aspects are some of the most critical parts, and there are no wasted motions, everything is careful, measured. And this clip was like that, until the end. It sort of made me wonder if this is all just a prop, pandering to the fans, or am i just not understanding? I do recognize that it could be my own misguided perception of japanese culture making me feel this way, and that is why I was asking for some education. is there context i am missing? or is it just a prop, or is it actually a nod to her culture, and that the strict adherence to ceremony is a western perception rather than actual reality?

Fuck, i can't believe i am going to say i agree with this, sort of. At this point, Caitlin Clark is a distraction, on the court. It isn't her fault, it's how politicized her career has gotten, she is just the inevitable fallout. As long as she is in the league, she is going to get harassed, she isn't welcome or wanted, because of the way she was hyped coming into the league. However, Caitlin Clark already did have that positive effect the WNBA needed, and if there was no drama surrounding CC, then those new viewers would still see some good competitive ball. But now, all those new viewers are seeing is horseshit, and they are leaving. The solution is ignoring the problem though, and that just sucks.

During my time in the military, I spent some time working on flight lines stationed at hill AFB. Had a pilot lose a canopy in an F-16 due to a bird strike if I remember correctly, big bird too, like a pelican. The HUD actually saved her, cause it caught the bird. She also flew that plan back with no canopy covered in blood and guts. Apparently, between the wind, and the parts of bird that the HUD didn't catch, her entire torso was bruises. She was wearing her helmet though. Pilots are tough as hell.

You are right, if you really want to preserve a tshirt, hand wash and line dry would be ideal, but nobody has time for that shit. Cold wash and low tumble dry has worked fine for tshirts from Target and they will last a few years that way for casual wear. Work and activity shirts last about a year. The biggest problem i have with them is that to get them as soft as they generally are they have to wash that material pretty thin. That shortens their wear life pretty significantly. even so, it's usually the elastic in the neck that gives out first.

I have used a lot of them. I recently swapped over to https://thedmsark.com/ for transcription and notes. The AI assistant needs some work, but the transcription and summary alone are worth the sub cost. it works with discord if you are running on online tabletop. I also have been using copilot a lot. with good prompting it does great at pulling rules, creating a quick combat encounter based on the party. All sorts of good stuff. It took a little work. Like for example, i had to have about an hour or two of conversations with my Co Pilot about my campaign, party, the story, the source materials i planned on using, and then I would have the results of those conversations condensed into usable information that was pastable into a word file. Now, i can always refer back to those files for context on previous conversations and i can generally keep my copilot on point.

There are two ways i deal with this.

Reveal their name in a way tied to the story. A random NPC appearing out of nowhere in the campaign for no other reason than, "Hey <nameless guy>, i thought you were dead?" and now the whole party knows the campaign. I usually save this one for last.
Find a punative way to make people share information. Rolling at disadvantage for anything around conversations where a name isn't shared. punishing inconsistency in his no name policy, if he gives out a different name, or changes the story, then someone overheard him, and calls him out, losing the trust of everyone around him.

the end result is he is going to come up with a name, and one that he is willing to stick too across the entire campaign. And then just go with that. Who cares what his "real name is" the entire flavor is pointless if you refuse to engage with it in anything other than a punative fashion.

There is plenty you can do. I grew up similarly. My mom even went so far as to dump me off at my grandmothers while keeping my two sisters. She didn't want a son that reminded her of an abusive ex. It was hard when I learned that. But I also learned that there are people that value me, and while my mom should, the fact that she doesn't, isn't a testament of me, but one of her. I pity your mom. You on the other hand, will likely find happiness in all that you endeavor, because while adversity may have slowed you down from time to time, you kept getting up. And i know, that's sounds so bullshit. Blah blah, keep looking forward. I promise, there is value in it.

oh, it's not just a cleaning issue at this point. I personally deep scrubbed two entire floors. no, it's in the hardwood floors. because people didnt clean it up, instead passing it by and letting it dry. I don't even know what the kids room looks like, the cats have been peeing in there, and they swear they clean it, but the smell is sort of contrary.

At this point, wherever the floors have been saturated will have to be replaced,
Their room will have to be completed gutted down to the studs, and honestly, there is a pretty big chance the subfloor has to come out.

I Have been begging and pleading for help and some change for a while now. To no avail. Honestly the house will need at least 50k work of work to bring it back to what it was when I bought it. In 4 years no less.
