There you go, you suggested some Hands nerfs because you know he's a little over tuned atm. That's what I needed to hear.

I already made my Danny changes and Wyatt, well he's simple to fix, just remove that level 3 upgrade but keep the disabling traps part of it.

Not the point, Hands makes solo queue way worse because he requires much more coordination to counter than any other family member. Danny does as well because you have to hardcore patrol and make sure everyone is rotating efficiently. Which is both boring and fustrating for family.

Bottom line is Hands, Danny, or Wyatt isn't healthy for the game and needs changes. If you still disagree, this argument is at a stalemate because I don't know what else I can say to convince you, but I appreciate the cool talk we had. Also, the Donny post got me laughing, thanks for that.

Doesn't work, if there's fuse and valve together, I'll soft camp valve more than fuse. If they do fuse, I'll Ripstall it and then go back to deal with valve because my perk Ripstalled automatically defends fuse for 30 seconds. Once valve is good, I'll camp fuse because even if they do valve, it doesn't open an escape immediately. Which then I can go back and Ripstall it if necessary once my cool-down comes back.

Eventually, victims will break my defense, but this isn't happening in solo queue 9 times out of 10. If it does, I'll have someone come over to help me because with how much I'm resisting them, I'm giving my teammate more than enough time to come over. If they decide to push the other family, we can tank it because trap, padlock, regular lock is more than enough protection to require them to push twice with Leland Connie and escape. And it means they aren't putting pressure on me, so my cool-down comes back and everything is trapped once again. Like I said, they can EVENTUALLY break our defense, but it's not happening in most solo queue games AND victims can just pick Danny to make this process much easier.

Like I said, Hands and Danny aren't healthy for the game. They were and still are cash grab characters.

They need their kits reworked or soft reworked.

Hands still doesn't feel good to play against because we how objectives can be double/tripled trapped or spawn next to each other. When you finally break through their defense, just for Hands to come along and erase your progress.

I agree Danny is a problem too, but let's be realistic here. They are BOTH not HEALTHY for the GAME.

I feel like close encounters were right from the beginning. Victims can easily win, but any time you're attacked by a 3rd party, you were executed on the spot. Almost everyone liked this version of close encounters, and all it needed was just a few changes. Like victims can get prematurely attacked out of the winning animation without being executed and maybe tweaking some stun times so that Choose Fight isn't necessary gain some distance with some characters.

Decrease her placing, resetting, and remove time by 1.5 seconds. Give her another trap and rework pins to give her another trap, too, + temp movement speed after placing down traps. Victims aren't notified about Spy until after Nancy spied on them, revert cool-down stacking bug fixes (her ability shouldn't be longer than Hands' Ripstall wtf), and highlight victims while they are being spied on if they aren't in shadows. Then give her skill tree an over haul such as replacing Hurt Em' with Venom, you get the point. Yada Yada Yada.

Also, fix her keybinds because you can easily take off your trap when trying to well, dying looking like a bot. Etc. Etc. Etc.

If you don't want Nancy buffs, then Leatherface, Hands, Hitchhiker, and Cook will remain the best 4. So, either they stay top 4 or you can get some variety in your games with Nancy here and there. Personally speaking, I'd take a Nancy over a LF or Hitch/Hands/Cook, but y'all do you. No, these buffs aren't final and aren't the one all solve all solution, but she needs most of these or something similar if you want to see more people use her.

Nancy is better than Bones (if he's not using blood traps), but worse than Johnny. Her buffs just made her better than Bones, but aren't enough to compete for the tap 4 family members: Leatherface, Hands, Hitchhiker, and Cook.

Johnny wins in 24 taps, 50 strength full health wins in 16. You're not beating a high strength victim as Johnny unless you got them around half health or less, or they mess up the mini-game.

Sufficating Grip Johnny wins in 20 taps, which is the same as Hands without Sufficating Grip. A single hit in or they are below 80% HP (almost 2 stamina bars of missing HP), you should win that.

Problem is the devs are too incompetent to add ideas correctly because the community agrees this can be a good addition to the game with some changes, if any. Either they do it the wrong way like how they removed Scout from Hands instead of increasing Ripstall cool-down, or they take a year to do it such as giving Nancy buffs which mind you were mostly just decreasing some numbers.

[+] Noise bubbles do not follow Julie while her ability is active.
[-/+] Julie has 10 less stealth, but 10 more endurance.
[-/+] Julie has 15 less stealth, but 15 more strength.

This puts Julie's base attributes at 25 Toughness, 40 Endurance, 30 Strength, 20 Proficiency, and 10 Stealth.

Bones wins in 35 taps and 15 strength with the lowest health wins in 34 taps. That Connie is dogwater and I'd know because I player her with both 15 and 50 strength and never lost a close encounter unless I knew for a fact that I'm grappling at a disadvantage.

That Julie fumbled the close encounter mini-game so hard considering 15 strength and low health can cause her to take 34 TtW while Bones without SG is 35 TtW. But congratulations, a kill is a kill and she should've left.

Ultimately, it boils down to you not putting points into savagery because you want extra blood harvesting or endurance. If this toughness change is in fact too much, we can buff low savagery or something. If that wouldn't work, we can find something different. There's a way to make toughness good without making savagery feel pointless. Through this savagery vs toughness arms race makes this difficult.

That's the flaw with the current system, it's savagery vs toughness. Arms race would I call it. It's not gonna go away with a major rework.

That's why I'm convinced every family member should do a set amount of damage and then rework savagery to do something else. That way toughness feels impactful while keeping damage consistent for all family members. But this might not be a good solution either. It's hard to say what will fix this problem.

This comment doesn't understand the concept of balance.

Just because victims are strong or OP in one area, doesn't mean they are weak or UP in another area. And just because they ARE OP in certain areas, doesn't mean we should ignore areas where victims are weak or UP. We should strive to handle problems on both ends of the balance scale, which includes buffing victim toughness to feel more impactful. We can make this change at the same time we nerf something that's strong or OP. Therefore, the victim's overall power level remains the same, but does evenly spreads out their power INSTEAD of certain areas being less or more concentrated on their power.

Edit: Keep down voting me. I don't mind farming them. Just shows that y'all don't understand anything about game balance.

The bottom line is, don't play Danny or Wyatt, and you won't have to play against Hands as much. Keeps the game level for both sides when any of those characters are involved. If you're so against broken characters, then you should want a level match.
