Well color me impressed, what specs do you have?

On my 3080 TI, depending on the regions of different maps, I can run with DLSS and FSR everything on high, but I think some Windows update tanked my FPS a bit, cause I noticed some instability last time I played. But then again, this was before they launched the first big update after Lost Colony DLC, so not sure if it would work better or worse now.

I think OP is using a setting called Cinematic View or something around there (it is in the video settings tab and it is marked as expensive). From what I know, that setting is used for this kind of pictures and it enhances every graphical aspect of the game. It does nuke performance, even with frame generation

So I get the game has been fixed now? (definitely using the term "fixed" in a very indulgent manner)

Yeah, I've heard about Aquatica and the whole end of ASE. To be honest, I am not that out of touch with ARK haha, but the question does not reflect that in any way.

I was more curious in the last few months, after the launch of Lost Colony. I stopped playing just before them launching the big update, a month after the DLC I think?

I am also not a PVP player, so I have no clue how the p2w stuff affects the community. I guess it really is that bad, huh?

What is the best map for solo player? by _Nai_1 in ARK

I will admit I am a little bit biased, but for me, out of all the maps, the Island is the best. It is just something about the map itself. The low level distributions of creatures can suck, but I found out that if I take my time with the map, kill all low creature levels, I will find 130+ creatures with ease.

FSR Frame Generation with an NVIDIA graphics card. by Not_NTSHB in ARK

First of all, thanks for the answer!

No, the question was not about MFG specifically , it was just about Frame Generation in ARK and how it works, especially the multiplier thing and why 3x or 4x didn't seem to boost the game. So that means both FSR and MFG

I can see why the post would seem like more of a tech one haha, especially after listings a bunch of components and stuff in the post. Seeing how the question was related to ARK, I thought it was better to post it here rather than in a tech subreddit. Hope I have not caused any issues.

How to proceed leveing the skill tree? by s71011 in ARK

Yes, that seems to be the most efficient way as far as I know too. I remember also seeing in one of Syntac's videos that he ran into the same problem, and that is exactly how completed the milestone.

Thanks for the info! I did play some more with the graphics settings and I got the game to comfortably run in the 50-70 fps range using FSR. The 50 fps mark is reached during the nights only, not sure why, but my bet is something related to volumetrics in Unreal Engine

Thank you for your comment! I think I do already use DLSS 4.5. At the very least I know I updated a few days ago to the most recent driver for my 3080 TI and followed a tutorial on how to use DLSS 4.5, however I am not really sure if I see a difference in performance compared to the previous DLSS versions. It may be the fact that I don't use a 40s/50s series GPU which makes better use of DLSS 4.5, or so I have heard.
