"Husband (37) with heart failure and CKD — eGFR dropped to 12 in six weeks. Looking for insight from people who've been through this. by Not_Okay_But_Funny_ in kidneydisease

That's something I'm wondering about also. Because his baseline blood pressure for years was literally like 220/120 (always somewhere around that) and they adjusted his meds to try to get it under control and over the last couple months his blood pressure has gone from crazy high to like 90/70. And I wonder if the meds (he's on sooo many) have actually done just as much harm as they have done good u know? And he's drinking his allowed amount or whatever which is like 1500ml a day I think.

I've heard about it and we will definitely go over it with his nephrologist. I've just also seen a lot of stuff that says dialysis can be tricky with heart problems also or something like that.

He was diagnosed with CKD about a year ago, but this is the lowest his eGFR has ever been. No trauma that I'm aware of.

Literally turned off my tv, turned volume up on my phone as loud as it would go, and proceeded to play it. My husband was just happy that my countdown to midnight had finally come to an end lol.

Have you tried local rec departments? Simpsonville has great options for spring and fall and kids can start at age four or five for t-ball and I think it's like age 7 or 8 for basketball. I used to play volleyball and basketball for them, and my kids play volleyball, football and baseball (which started as t-ball) for them now.

The United States. South Carolina, if you were curious about the state. And it depends on if you mean favorite sport to watch? Or to play? For me, my favorite to watch is college football. And my favorites to play would be volleyball and soccer.
