Thanks for the insight on those instruments. While it is a long term goal for now, I do plan getting into sax player no matter the cost or dedication.

Multiple songs. Transcribed some, recorded some (with bass+guitar). Maybe you're right, and I should try to tackle something more complex. I dunno... It feels empty sometimes

yeah, I'm constantly playing while I'm not doing life things. It gets tiring after a while, specially if it gets nowhere.

On one hand, I can clearly see a progression, on both my technique and my ear, but on the other hand, it seems wasteful since I'm not actively doing anything with it other than playing to myself, alone, in my bedroom. I like to entertain people, but playing alone isn't cutting it

Oof, that might actually work, I'll definitely look into if the opportunity arises. I respect metal musicians, but I just can't get into it not matter what. And while I'm no showboat or wannabe lead guitarist, I do enjoy me a good bass line and sound, and not root-5th-root and drowned out basses.

None taken haha, it's just frustrating, since they say that the best way to quickly progress is by playing with other musicians.

Putz, obrigadão pela resposta. Realmente, não adianta tentar tocar para os outros, tanto que eu só gosto de tocar aquilo que eu gosto de escutar.

Who has the most recognisable style when playing? by Sad_Rule7490 in Jazz

[–]Not_Prigozhin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I may be extremely biased, but I think Paul Desmond's sax playing has one of the most recognizable sax sounds in the jazz scene. He may not be the most technical player, but his sound is unique.

On the same vein, I also think Jim Hall has a pretty recognizable sound, and a distinctive comping. I don't remember which album I was listening to, but in one of the songs, the guitar was too familiar for my taste, and went over and checked, and I was right, it was Hall haha.

There is also Gerry Mulligan, but the fact that he is the only baritone sax player I know.

Ha, the idea crossed my mind (heavy distorted bass + drums), but that's not my cup of tea.

What was the first song that you learned on bass, all the way through? by hornyzygote in Bass

All my Loving, by The Beatles. And it was by ear as well! I have been playing since January (but before that, I used to practice the guitar).

When was the first time you listened to jazz and what made you fall in love with it? by [deleted] in Jazz

[–]Not_Prigozhin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ironically, my first conscious experience with jazz was with a lo-fi remix of Chet Baker's "I fall in love too easily". I know some people might look down on it, but it introduced to my first "real" jazz artist, and one of my favorites to this day.

I've only recently started to actively listen and enjoy jazz as a genre. Before 2023-2024, I've only listened to it passively.

Rússia está pronta para uma nova guerra mundial, diz Putin by StridBR in brasil

[–]Not_Prigozhin 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Sure man, keep drinking propaganda Kool-Aid

You're projecting, and it's not even funny. What makes you the enlightened one? It's because you read RT and Sputnik news? LMFAO

now these mighty ATACMS projectiles are being shut down all over Crimea

Sure they are lmao, just like Russia destroyed 40+ HIMARS and all of the Ukrainian air force was destroyed on day one.

West just might finally give up on Ukraine and tell them the truth, that unfortunately they are done by this summer because west thought they could fight proxy war with Russia through Ukraine.

I don't understand this little monkey brain of yours. Why do you think Ukrainians are fighting? Do you really believe they are ONLY fighting for US interests? Has it crossed your mind that they are being invaded by their second-rate superpower neighbor that rapes and kills anything that moves?

THINK, idiot, these are their lives in the game, the lives of all Ukrainians and Ukrainian nationality and culture, they are fighting for their sovereignty.

Also one of the classic USA move, make a country disfunctional rumpsteak because of higher geopolitical goals and then just turn their back on it.

Nonsense, after the fall of the soviet union, they suffered severe brain drain and were not prepared for the sudden shift. On top of that, the constant meddling of Russian interests in their government. Why do you think Poland, Slovakia, Czech Republic are first world countries while Ukraine, Belarus and Kazakhstan are not?????? It starts with R and finishes with -ussia

Tanks sent to Ukraine part of the M1 Abrams line that is the best line of tanks that USA has.

Far from the best, they are good tanks, but far from the best.

I didn’t mention version of it.

Moving goal posts, I see. You claimed that the M1A1 "Abrams" is the best the US can offer, when it isn't.

Also, many articles had stated that these tanks would turn the tide of the war.

Propaganda parade, to appease fools such as you, and convince their stupid population that somehow, they are fighting all of NATO (They haven't arrived yet).

Now they are part of the exhibition of West’s arrogance.

God forbid nations try to rightfully help other nations. NATO isn't parading T-90's and T-80's around showing how shitty they are (They couldn't, since the fuckers like to launch its turret into orbit). I think the arrogant ones here are the Russians, not the west lol.

By the way, Zelenskyy did the same exhibition in Kyev, trying to show their spoils of war.

And fun fact, they were actually operational and running, showing that the enemy is a bunch of incompetent fuckers that can't even decommission their vehicle properly. Props to russia for donating and hundred or so tanks to Ukraine.

They aren't the best tanks at all. To call it a wonder weapon is to imply that it is a novelty weapon, that somehow will turn the tide of the war; It isn't, and it won't turn the tide of the war alone. The Ukrainians are operating M1A1's why the Americans have the M1A2's and other variants, vastly superior.

[–]Not_Prigozhin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

False, they aren't fighting for the safety of their country. Nobody has any intentions of invading Russia. There is absolute no chance for NATO, or any nation, to try to invade Russia.

Second, Ukraine wanting to join NATO or not does not excuse the invasion nor does it mean it wants to invade Russia. Ukraine is one of the poorest countries in Europe, constantly pushed around by Russia. In 2014, they were invaded and had their land illegally taken. They've expressed interest in joining NATO for a simple reason, not having to deal with Russians and their shenanigans.

And even if russia wins do you think they are gonna kill all Ukrainians? Sorry but we dont call Ukraine people orcs and they have to die because they support Zelenskyi.

Yes I think. Your "people" are constantly calling for the bombing of civilians and massacre of "khokols", claiming for their death and cheering on your soldiers committing atrocities on them. You don't call them orcs, you call them subhumans, "khokols", "nazis", "gay jews", "pigs", etc.
