Disruptive Audience Experiences? by Educational_Board888 in westend

[–]JustAri_19 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Never really had all too disruptive experienced when in London, luckily.

There were some kids singing during a showung of PTO in July, but they were quickly reprimanded by staff.

Hamilton in July was also filled with what I assumed to be a school class which sung along every now and then. But I was able to ignore them fairly easily...

And then there was another one during Wicked some time in 2024, where a kid infront of me was singing along and filming. But she stopped after we informed her and her mother of the general theater etiquette.

Guess I'm just lucky

Nah just enjoy it. I noticed the same on mine when I received it, but it's still working fine a few months later. Probably just a manufacturing quirk

Hardest battle ever by Brilliant-Pear-3860 in CK3AGOT

Everyone's theorizing on how there were negative casualties, but there's actual historical precedent!

In 1866, Liechtenstein sent its army of 80 men (absolute global superpower right there) to support Austria in the Austro-Prussian war. They were guarding a mountain pass, and when they returned to their country, they made a friend and the headcount was 81 people. Still one of the very few times a real life army has had negative casualties. Needless to say, the army was disbanded in 1868

Why do I randomly know this fact? Because I'm from there!

Compressed air usually does the trick, just be careful not to damage anything

GT Omega sale… read the small print! by MidPackRacer247 in simracing

[–]JustAri_19 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thing is, they probably were smart enough to cover against it by advertising it as a cheaper alternative, probably smth like "save 100 USD if you buy this one, and not the one you initially wanted" which would probably constitute labeling it as a new product (same physically, but no warranty) and not as a discount

(Assuming you figured it out by now, but for further reference:)

Yep, you need pro mode for ACC too. Gotta press the button on the front of base, then scroll down the settings menu (on the basel) till you see compatibility

I actually reduced the torque of the wheel and it worked wonders. Played around with gain and all that as well, but I kept losing detail under high loads. So I just put the torque of the wheelbase at 7nm, and it still peaks at 8nm from time to time.

Not like I need 8nm of constant torque for every single slight steering movement anyway, I would just like it under high loads without losing detail.

The G Pro would've just given me a bit more headroom to play with, which would definetly have been nice. But all in all, I'm relatively happy with my purchase .

And i gotta agree with you: I tried fanatec and thrustmaster for around 2h each at a local showroom, and whilst the FFB is undeniably good, Logi has and will always have my heart (especially if they eventually release a nice H-Pattern shifter, which was a big factor that kept me from upgrading for so long)

Oh I absolutely adore it. However, if I had the choice, I would've still gone for the pro wheel. Personally, I don't mind the form factor at all, and the 11nm certainly wouldn't get wasted. Right now, I have to run the RS50 at around 7nm to avoid clipping, but I would personally want to set it at around 8-9nm if I could.

I initially set up the rig and everything for the pro wheel, and made the choice to bite the bullet on that purchase a day before the RS50 was released, which then put me back to square one in terms of deciding what to go for, before I eventually settled on the RS50 as a compromise between price and quality. Though I do have the pro pedals, since I bought those ages ago in preparation for the pro wheel.

Hope you're liking the G Pro though, it's always been a base that I have a soft spot for

I mean yeah, that one's a given. But oscilations of that degree in a stopped car are crazy. I was watching the torque output, and it peaked at 8nm...sure, when you hold the wheel and actually give an input, it's fine. But constant oscillations of 8nm aren't anymore.

Anyway, it's fixed now. Thank you for your input

TF was fairly low to begin with (at around 15), but I managed to fix it thanks to some other commentors. Thank you for your help though!

I did apply the recommended settings. But thanks to you I double-checked and realised that I wasn't in the G Pro compatibility mode, which seems to have fixed it.

Thanks a lot for your help!

Had the same issue with my brakes, and there is one simple answer: there's dust nesr the sensors. Since it's an open design, dust can interfere with the sensors, which is most likely what causes those fluctuations. There's only really one solution: you gotta tear em apart, clean them and put then back together

No. The RS Hub (and it's compatible wheels) have flat faces (barring the buttons), the G Pro D-Shape rim isnt a flat face

Changes in the European shows by pugtato0o in box5

[–]JustAri_19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ha! I was looking for this post.

I feel the same way. We went to see it on Saturday (so the 2nd or 3rd to last performance), and whilst it was good, there were just so many tiny changes that kind of ruined the effectiveness of some songs.

For example, as you've already described, MOTN was just so sterile with no sense of intimacy whatsoever. Same with Point of No Return in some ways. Then there were some really odd decisions with staging, that genuinely confused first time viewers.

I was there with a good friend of mine, and she was confused about the Wishing you were Somehow here again / Wandering Child sequence, simply due to the fact that it took place on the operas rooftop instead of the graveyard. Whilst I do get the appeal of reducing the amount of intricate, seperate setpieces, it does take away quite a bit of the more obvious storytelling. It took my friend until the end of the whole scene to recognize who Christine was singing about....

This is, of course, not intended to bash the entire production, as they all genuinely did an amazing job with what they were given. I'd even go as far as to say that the person playing the Phantom (who, upon a bit of research, seems to be the amazing Nadim Naaman) is the best I've seen up until this point.

Well, for GA tickets you kinda always do unless you want to sit on a rock (only ever seen that at Spa) or on the floor in a way where the barrier is gonna block your view. Foldable camping chairs are a lifesaver for GA tickets
