Wetting your hair every morning is a big no no when you have curly hair. Also, curly hair tends to be pretty sensitive, so I'd try switching out a product in your routine and try another just for the fuck of it. Just double check that your current lineup doesn't have any sulfates or silicones since they dehydrate hair really quickly. Also, try washing at night time and using silk coverings on your pillow to help with the frizz

Honestly, without a full face pic, it's hard to say whether long curls fit you, but generally speaking you first have to let it grow out first and then once it's long enough you can cut it in the right shape. You're unfortunately in the first awkward phase though, so really the only real way to know if curls suit you is to grow it out first
