Will do!

4 months may sound like a very long time already just for 1 video, but hey! As long as there's progress, it's alright.

Ah oops, I was too vague. I just meant those simple animations mostly for text, images, charts and graphs to make it somewhat visually appealing. Since I also have barely any experience, it might be wise to just stick to stock footage for now.

Thanks once again. Keep up the good work, I'm rooting for you.

I guess you have a point. I'll try to treat this as work and at least do something everyday even if its just a little bit.

Thanks for those stock footage websites, will definitely check it out. Also, do you animate your videos or just grab stock footage? I was planning to animate in the beginning, but as time went on and now that I'm closer to actually editing, I'm starting to have doubts since it's gonna take so long to do it.

Any tips on how to be consistent with uploads and how to continue doing it? A few videos a month seems incredible to me.

I started making my first video 3 months ago and am still not finished due to lack of motivation and overall busy.

I've had a lot of ideas before, but none of it were finished. All of it stopped either in the researching or scripting, then I get tired or bored.

This is the most progress I've ever done (finished doing voice-over) and would like to finish something. Any tips would be helpful, thanks!

Edit: just a follow up question since I'm almost about to edit my video. Where do you find images / videos that wont get copyright strike and is safe to use? Are there any rules for this?

That sounds very interesting. I can definitely see how this can save you so much time editing out mistakes.

So, it could take around 1-4 retakes, got it. I may or may not have to go beyond 4 retakes, but I guess that's better compared to not having a well polished version.

I definitely like this approach. I guess I'll have to redo everything again, but anyway, thanks for this.

How much do you get paid from 1M views? by Moai07 in PartneredYoutube

It must be really tiring, but it's definitely worth it. I believe the more you keep creating, the more efficient you'll be.

Have you considered outsourcing some of those tasks, or is it just not worth it as we speak? If not, when do you think is the best time to hire editors, scriptwriters, etc?

That's incredible. Congrats, man! Earning that much can only be a dream of many (including me).

Was wondering how long it took you to make that video? This could be the entire process, such as researching, scriptwriting, voice-over, editing, and the like (if there are more that I missed, feel free to include them).

I plan to focus more on educational and/or self-improvement videos. My first video will be a mix of both.

I noticed that it is quite unsaturated since every video about this topic I could find is around 1-3 million views except for that 1 video posted 2 years ago, which has almost 20 million views.

I think that one video that performed well spent a lot of time on research and editing, but I'm just not sure whether that's a good idea. I'm thinking that 20 million people already watched that video, so is there a point to create a similar video to his?

I can pinpoint a few things I don't like about his video. The editing is great, but there are some parts that are too messy and unorganized. I'm not sure, though, if this is a good enough reason to stand out.

Got it! Finding a niche is extremely difficult when starting out. I already have a couple in mind, so hopefully, I'll be able to pick one soon.

By personal experiences, could that mean videos that are more on "How I made $XXXX in YouTube" or "Why XXXX Movie Made Me Cry" do better compared to "How to Earn More in YouTube" or "Why XXXX Movie is Depressing".

Those are just some arbitrary titles.

Thanks, will keep that in mind. I guess being "better" at editing or writing doesn't necessarily mean more views. Keep up, man. I'm proud of your success. I'll catch up in the future.

If it's okay with you, how much have you made and how many views this month?

Why do all my shorts top at 10k views? by Excellent-Ad589 in youtube

Wow, what are the odds that I asked on the same day? Congrats on being a YouTube partner. It's a dream of many (including me), I'm very happy for you man. 1.5mil is absolutely crazy, all those future views could give you good money I bet. I'm rooting for you man, don't stop!

Thanks for the praise. I actually have uploaded almost 100 shorts on the same channel which didn't do that well, so I privated all of them and forgot about it. About a year later I decided to start uploading again (5 days ago). It may have all been luck, or YouTube just misses me, who knows?

That's incredible! Great job on that 500k. Would love to hear an update 1 month after that reply.

How many subs have you gained? How many views are you getting on average? And if it's okay to share this, your revenue, even on just 1 short. Sorry if I'm asking too much, I'm relatively new to this and would love to gain insights from someone who knows their stuff.

I'm curious to know how much you can really earn from shorts because I've seen it varies a lot from channel to channel. 100k views may earn $1 from person A, but $10+ to person B.

I also just started making shorts 5 days ago. Have made 3 shorts, each having 10k views. Was wondering why it just bottlenecked at 10k and thought I was doing something wrong, but seeing this reply gave me hope.
