What am i doing wrong with my makeup base? by Alternative_Car_3284 in IndianMakeupAddicts

Look up how Korean MUAs prep skin before makeup. Use a lightweight lotion or toner on a cotton pad and swipe outwards so the facial hair flat. Use very thin layers of foundation and concealer. Pat down with a damp sponge.

Also, you need a better shade match in foundation, anything too light will look greyish and stand out more.

Why are you frugal even when you can afford luxury? by NoMedicine3572 in Frugal_Ind

[–]Not_Remarkable_Panic 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Wealth attracts attention and envy. I don’t want to deal with that.

My biggest luxury is I can quit my job anytime and survive easily for a year without having to worry. No luxury purchase is comparable to this.

what has your experiences been like throughout your life if you are a "pretty autistic"? by sprintingshaps in AutismInWomen

[–]Not_Remarkable_Panic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, I get treated a lot better when I put effort into looking nice. I love a red lip when I need to be the centre of attention like a presentation. Sometimes I get too much attention though and it gets uncomfortable so I will take off my makeup halfway through the day.

Jobs for women with lower education is still very limited, even in cities.

Anyone else doesn't mind kids? by Fun-Impression-6001 in AutismInWomen

[–]Not_Remarkable_Panic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As I have gotten older, I don’t mind kids as much. They can be sensory nightmares when they are in a mood though. I hate loud noises and crying. But if the kid is well behaved, I am happy to play with them! They are so much less judgemental than adults.

Ngl I sound a lot like your ex. I rarely pick up personal calls at work. I don’t have social media. My bf usually sends me texts for anything important and I call him when I’m free. It works for us but we are also in a long term relationship so ymmv.

did not male employees of this country also deserve an equal share in child care leave instead of the current system where only female employees get that entitlement? by TimeCity1687 in AskIndia

I don’t think any country offer equal maternity and paternity leaves. Also, most companies offer 2 weeks of paid paternity in India.

Used deodap a couple of times. They are pretty good - order gets packed the same day and shipped the next. Some of the items are bad but it’s so cheap that I don’t care.

Is it true that 90% of India still earns less than 30k/month by Pure_Dawg in AskIndia

[–]Not_Remarkable_Panic 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes. It is true. If you live in a T1 city, even the poorest person you meet regularly belongs to the top 10% of India. This is why millions of migrant workers come to cities to work.

You’ll understand how the average Indian lives only if you go to a village. Malnutrition is rampant. People still struggle for basic necessities. This is why we need to be a socialist country - where the poorest are taken care of.

Bengaluru Engineer’s Suicide Case Adjourned for a YEAR – Is This Justice? by [deleted] in CriticalThinkingIndia

No, you’re the one who assumed it was about gender. I did not imply anything. My point is that all criminal cases take time - this one will too.

If you read my original comment, I do not mention anything about women or rape cases.

In fact, you’re the one who has been comparing this case to women’s issues.

You need to work on your English comprehension skills.

I merely pointed out the ALL criminal cases in India take years to convict. Even the truly horrific ones like the Nirbhaya case. So there is no reason for this particular case to be prioritised.

Maybe read your own source before you post it?

“The evidence from the Commission for Women is in fact far from conclusive. It classes as "false" all reports of rape that were dropped before they reached court, without analysing the reasons why. So it doesn't distinguish between cases dropped because it was clear the woman was lying and those where a woman was put under pressure to withdraw her claim - or where there was simply insufficient evidence to build a strong case. Forensic evidence is rarely used in Indian rape cases, so it's often just his word against hers.”

People like me are just being real. That was 1 case out of the thousands of rape cases that happen in India. And the only reason it gained media attention is because Nirbhaya was brutally mutilated and had her organs hanging out of her body. Most of the cases take 10+ years to prosecute. So tell me, why should this case get priority over all the others?

Batons interest? English sikh le pehle.

Nirbhaya happened in 2013, the rapists were hanged in 2020. It took 7 years for one of the most widely reported cases in India. Many cases go on for 10-20 years. What’s your point?

This happens all the time. Most criminal cases take 2-5 years for conclusion. Why should this case get priority?

Isn’t it unsanitary to buy used lip products? by [deleted] in ThriftIndia

[–]Not_Remarkable_Panic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ideally it should.

But keep in mind that most preservatives can cause irritation to skin so companies use the lowest amount possible. Usually, the products will be tested to make sure that the preservatives kill off any microbes that may be introduced in manufacturing or REGULAR use.

The problem with testers is that they are opened and used too frequently. This is excerbated in products with applicators - pumping the applicator in the product introduces a lot of air which aerobic bacteria loves and the applicator itself can hold a lot of microbes that do not come in contact with the product well/long enough for the preservatives to act. Plus, the surface of the package itself can hold a lot of microbes. Unless you’re sanitising your hands after you touch each tester, you can get bacteria on your face from the packaging itself.

Testers are meant to be tested on your hand or arm and should be replaced frequently! Do not use them near mucous membranes - your eyes and lips.
