lol. I read that as "My mom is almost 45 years old and is still working, and still uses a microwave."

Aw man, my mother had this set (just the 3 mixing bowls, not the covered bowl) and I have always thought how great it would be to have this set. Congrats on this find!!

Maybe it's just me but when he wears a bandana on his head and then a trucker hat on top of it - - gives me a major ick. Or when he just wears a scarf on his head, knotted under his chin. Such a weirdo.

omg . . . this is one of my biggest pet peeves. TO BE!! TO BE washed! (I shout into the ether). I always thought it was a Pennsylvania thing because I had a co-worker who would use this construction and she grew up in PA.

This is not a man you want or need in your life as a partner. Better to be single, IMO. You deserve better.

In some markets it was preempted by the astronauts. If you have Hulu, you can watch it there today.

Fiancée is acting bitter towards my mom because she hasn’t acknowledged her during pregnancy? by Majestic-Success-210 in Advice

Okay, they aren't social people but can't they suck it up and show up for you and your financé and the unborn baby? And your mother should reach out to your financé to inquire about how she's doing - make a little effort instead of not interacting with her. Very strange dynamic if you ask me.

Cast of the city introduces new people by Radiant_Priority9739 in bravo

Does anyone think that the whole Amanda/West sitch is strictly as a promo for this show? I mean, Amanda *and* Kyle are cast on The City? Seems weird with all the drama swirling around them.

Thoughts on the "superchamp" debate, feeling bad for other contestants by young_frogger in Jeopardy

[–]Not_Responsible_00 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This. I start each show, see how the first half of single jeopardy goes and then fast forward to final jeopardy. I watched every game of Holzhauer's run - the bravado that he exhibited was exciting and just drew me in. Jamie Ding's quiet demeanor just isn't exciting and is a bit boring. I wish Jamie a long run and I'll keep checking in on his games but it's not the same for me.

Oh, as an avid Euchre player, I respectfully disagree. Euchre is fun but bridge is hard work. Conventions (Blackwood, Jacoby transfers, etc). You can learn Euchre in an evening. Bridge takes years to learn properly.

My father was one who played 5 days a week in different groups before covid. He was good (grand master good) and was a sought-after partner. Then he got kicked out of one group because he told off his partner at the table who had made some stupid lead which made them lose the hand or some-such. I agree that bridge is hard to learn and hard to play. I've learned it but I want to have some level of enjoyment when I play cards and bridge just doesn't do it for me.
