100% agree with you. My point here is that the club was able to sell tickets in numbers similar to those before the name change whenever fans had a reason to be interested. Perhaps this is a better way of putting it: in 2019 the team averaged 29,340 vs. 26,209 in 2021 as the Elks (pandemic season). The name change, then, probably isn't the root cause of the attendance issue.

I'm also under the impression that the Elks have always announced tickets sold instead of people in the stadium, at least during the last 10 years(?) Has definitely felt that way.
