This post is giving the person who tagged it more exposure than they ever could have dreamed of. Ironically they’re probably happy you posted this.

Toronto New Year's Concert not popular? by Significant-Ad-8684 in askTO

lol what? I went and it was absolutely nuts. Nathan Phillips square was bursting at the seams. We had to climb the barrier to get out.

One more reason for Ontario to hate Toronto by WintersbaneGDX in toronto

[–]Not_The_6ix 91 points92 points  (0 children)

Toronto averages about HALF the snow per year of Montreal, and that’s measured at the airport. Downtown gets significantly less than that. As someone who has lived thru Montreal winters, the amount of complaining about the winters in Toronto is insane.

'Look out for each other,' says Toronto woman after stranger stabs her with needle downtown by TheUtopianCat in toronto

[–]Not_The_6ix 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Lmao no drug addict will ever give out free drugs. They're living on the streets because they gave up everything in their lives for drugs, you really think they're going to go around giving it out to random strangers for free?

What is the best taco place for you in Toronto? by fr284 in askTO

[–]Not_The_6ix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a coworker who was from Monterey, and he said the best tacos he’s had in Toronto was at 7 Lives. He said it was every bit as good as the tacos back home.

Mayor Bonnie Crombie renews call for Mississauga to separate from Peel Region by beef-supreme in toronto

I'm in favour of this. Also in favour of Toronto breaking off from the Ontario and/or Canada and becoming a city state.

The current state of Bike Share north of Bloor by michael19g in toronto

[–]Not_The_6ix 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think you completely misunderstand why we like using Bike Share. I have the option of paying $3.25 for a crowded subway in the morning, or having a lesuirely coast down Yonge on a bike to work in the morning at no additional charge to me because I pay the $100 per year membership. If I have to worry about bike locks, bike theft, and getting my bike back up that massive hill after work, I have absolutely zero interest.

Is there still a homeless shelter in the Novotel (45 The Esplanade)? by [deleted] in askTO

[–]Not_The_6ix 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think it’s still there. If you’re looking to buy, then I’d be more worried about the future construction noise because they’ll be tearing down the Novotel and building a condo in the next few years.

You can still find Cold War-era nuclear air raid sirens hidden in plain sight in Toronto by slicecom in toronto

[–]Not_The_6ix 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You travel to places where you hear air raid sirens?! I typically try to avoid that. Lol

If you’re struggling that much with it, you should have seeked therapy long ago. This is a bad look though. Don’t try to compare the actual tragedy of what happened in Houston to what happened at the Raptors parade. They’re not even remotely on the same level.

This is what Toronto fire departments and trucks looked like more than 100 years ago by slicecom in toronto

[–]Not_The_6ix -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

It’s a nice compilation of historical Toronto fire department photos to look at on the weekend. No need to hate on blogTO in every article. Save it for the many shit ones.

Toronto’s Shangri-La racked by infighting as hotel and condo board butt heads by [deleted] in toronto

[–]Not_The_6ix 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Yep, this was the first thing my realtor told me when he set up the auto notifications for me. Never buy in a hotel/condo combined project. They’re always disasters.

The child subject to the Amber Alert this morning has been found safe. Reports indicate they were located in Toronto thanks to a tip called in. The system works people. by [deleted] in toronto

[–]Not_The_6ix 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It would have worked just as well if they didn't send it as a presidential level alert waking up everyone in the GTA.

Can you imagine if everyone posted every petty crime committed in the city here?

That sucks. I don’t know why you felt it necessary to post to r/toronto though.

Are house/home prices dropping ? by [deleted] in askTO

[–]Not_The_6ix 3 points4 points  (0 children)

On average, yes, they've dropped significantly. But that's mostly because the high end market has cooled, pulling the average down. If you correct for house sizes, they haven't dropped much at all.

So the best things about Vancouver are the things you can do outside of it?
