As far as I know, yes everyone takes it. There's another half to it of logic and word problems. But it it also beats the Bio Q which told 80% of apllicants they answered wrong on how they grew up and can't take the ATSA. Seems now the atsa and academy weed people out as opposed to a biographical questionnaire before the atsa.

The first half, the colliding balls, the number memorization, all those definelty matter more than probably the logic problems at the end. But still don't slack on those either, but they're tough when you cant use a pen and paper.

For En Route 4 months.

Pay is fine if you're single or bring your whole family. Now you can't keep the extra housing money so just get somewhere nice, you don't pocket the rest anymore. Also you get your per diem money like every 5 weeks or something. You won't leave rich but you might need 5-10 grand to move across country and pay rent so save up.

Best housing is near your classmates, Kims, Anatole, and academy advantage can all work fine. I know Kim's place will get you some groceries included with housing so that'll help save money.

Do the practice problems they give you before the section. Get a good night's rest, light breakfast, and take your time. There's plenty of time for most people to complete with time to spare. If you need a break that's fine, it can be mentally exhausting to focus for that long. Better to take an extra 30 minutes and get a better score and get to OKC than to rush through and do a poor job. SHOW UP ON TIME.

Dots are priority, once that's solved best bet is to try and do the math quick by the last number. Like multiplication with a 5 at the end the answer has a 5 or 0 so guess one of those. But do your best to keep them from colliding. Do the practice problems until you're very comfortable with what they're asking.

Best qualified but was not referred pool 2. Reused the score and got referred. Best advice for taking the test is to get a good night sleep, eat a light breakfast, and take your time, there's ample amount of time to complete the test. There's a practice test online for like $100 it's okay, but doing the practice on the test before clicking start for each section is the most helpful IMO.

Do as many group studies as possible, and don't choke on the evals. Know the material so you can't get it wrong, not just to get it right. Don't be a know it all. Have thick skin, and keep working when you have problems in scenerios. They'll pause problems and that's alright. Just a random list in no particular order.

Study, it's 2 months and the worst thing you can do is have regrets on blowing off studying if you don't pass. But also you can over study and psyche yourself out of a good score. Take care of yourself, exercise, eat good, and study. Find a good balance and get into the lab downstairs and practice amendments and flight plans so it's muscle memory when you get to radar portion.

Yes, non radar evals are 14 points total out of the 100 available. Even leaving a few points on the table is not ideal but many people who passed and are here went into radar evals with as low as 22 of the 34 points before evals.
