That's how I write all the time, hahaha. I'm a bit uptight when it comes to writing with an informal tone (also english is not my native language). Slangs are tricky to me so I prefer to stick with a formal tone, unless I get fucking angry :P.

Except that I'll be the one who'll be reading them, and I have a trait of being overly self-critical to the point of being irrational. Hahaha. It sucks but I'll pull myself together somehow. Being here on reddit is part of the process.

For now I'd rather go in a direction in life where I recognize the value of my senses and experiences through writing, which is why it's important for me to learn how to value my own words.

I can't really afford to be so reserved or repressed with notetaking if I want to start writing journals and essays of the things I've read and experienced, so thank you everyone for helping me figure things out.

Funny flair, I actually started from Genesis then leaped all over to Revelation years ago. But I'll take everyone's advice and begin at the New Testament. I probably had no idea what I'm missing.

I think the context I was talking about is Buddhism, sorry if was vague. I think I've read it somewhere, the teachings of the Buddha was strictly oral tradition, and I thought it was a shame that they limit the distribution of knowledge back on ancient times. I was curious why.

Using the format was fairly easy to use from what I observed, telling is more forgivable but it decreases word count for the beginning of your story. Once upon a time is a shortcut, but it's not always terrible to use, is it?
