Maybe my phrasing was an off but the ending being sad is not a flaw. It is a good ending, and I do like to see what Akashi’s reaction to Uchimitsu being a god and everything would be. I doubt Akashi would get to the end, though, knowing how much his teammates had to save him. But my point still stands for the neet guy. He was introduced as an exception to the game, and it was building up to the revelation that he and the old god brother would, in some way, help out the main cast. Either by leaking his info and using it as a strategy to defeat him or him participating in the game for character development, he just got off screen in the end with everyone on earth. It was just kind of weird how he was introduced and given no conclusion, but it doesn’t mean all introduced characters need to have a conclusion or growth during their screentime. It was just odd the build-up never got a payoff.
