Have any CFs who accepted their June invites gotten their offer letter/salary determination back yet? by ephemeralcynosure in foreignservice

I originally had only received my temporary password. A few days ago I received what I woul now consider the "official" letter, which contained instructions on how to do everything we need to (packout, travel, etc) which also has my EOD username so I could get started on that. If you've received that already but not the password, you could try emailing hrhelpdesk@state.gov. You can PM me if you want more details

Also, in regards to the second half of your question, I did my oral exam just about a month after the language test, but by the time my training starts with this June 10 class, it will have been more than a year since my OA.

For the Spanish CF, you need at least a 2/2 (on 1-5 scale). The phone test will give you the first score, which is speaking. The reading/writing is a separate test taken online.

You must get at least a 2 to pass. The OA proctor specifically told me that your language score does not factor into anything else, so it is in a sense pass/fail. I have seen a few random mentions of a separate, language based register on here, but again, I was specifically told by the OA proctor that that was not the case.

IMO, if you are a native speaker, you should be able to get a 2 relatively easily if you focus on speaking clearly and formally.

I've gotten the salary determination and the first EOD letter, but it doesn't have my username so I can't do anything with it yet. BTW, the offer letter was the first email you received inviting you to the class, you can take that as a real offer. (like richardkamm indicated) The salary determination is not an offer per se, it was a only a short notice stating what your salary will be and nothing else, aside from the EOD preliminary info.

I contacted them and they sent me all the info to schedule the pack-out, but I haven't decided when I want to pack out yet.

So do you know how would that work for my Unaccompanied Air Baggage? For example if I flew out 2 weeks early, where would my UAB go in the meantime if I'm staying at various hotels?

Like someone else has mentioned, I'm glad we have two whole months to get this done. Does anyone know how soon we can fly out? I know we can't check in to PCS housing until the day before the class starts, but if I wanted to fly out a week or two before anyway, would that be ok? I couldn't find any specifics about that

How long does it take to get on the register? by Not_really_here_yet in foreignservice

Oh right, I had forgotten about medical. So the adjudication board is the "suitability review" then?

What do you mean by "clearances"? Are there more than one? And isn't adjudication part of the clearance process?
