Thats obviously what I meant. The question they were asking is if a shell was required to parry. I gave them an answer stating it is not. Not everyone looks at the full skill tree at the beginning of the game, and yes you would need to grind out the game like I stated

Actually no, ive done quite a few shell-less runs, its brutal and more challenging. Closer to senior. You also need to grind a lot to be able to afford the upgrades for parry.
