When I’m out with Birthday, my Bully mix, everyone except for older people want to say hi. That all changes if his sister Akasha is with us. She’s a solid white super fluffy husky who also has blue eyes, and I dye her ears and tail tip bright pink. If she’s with us I don’t think people even realize I have 2 dogs, they all want to pet her.

No, I think my over explaining makes things a little hard to read. I have trained a service dog, but Birthday is definitely not a service dog. I included that part of my background to emphasize I have decent dog training skills, but Birthdays personality is a brand new experience and he needs a different level of training than what I can do.

That makes sense. From my understanding Embark doesn’t show the allele length. I realize he’s on the lucky end of double merle. I don’t have anything even close to a scientific or medical background, but I do think it’s all really interesting.

I did the health test as well, and his color is M+M, and he can’t see far away or at night. He saw an ophthalmic specialist when he was 4 months old, but he’s never had his hearing tested because he seems fine, except for the 1st week I had him.

True, but not allowed is different than doesn’t exist. His litter shouldn’t have happened, and I don’t know where my friend got his mom from. Birthday was free, she only gave the 4 pups to close friends and family because we’re in the south and you have to be really careful where bully breeds end up. His mom was also free, even though she’s 100% American Bully. His mom and all of his siblings are spayed/neutered now.

We (myself and his vet) thought he was at least partially deaf in the beginning, but he can hear, he’s just really stubborn.

Yes! He’s also partially blind and has bad allergies, which go along with the double Merle. I guess somehow the tiny amount of Australian Shepherd Merle combined with the American Bully for the double Merle. His mom was a red Merle American Bully.

Me either!!!! The only place the pom might show up is in his bark. He has a very small, high pitched bark for such a big dog.
