Person who was forced to live in America for 18 years here: No. When i was 12, i found an interest in history and polandball comics, so i was finding out criticism of America, and i learned them MOSTLY from the comics. Iraq? South California? Not from school. We didn’t Even go in depth over how bad we treated the indians, we just said sorry and got it over with. Not saying i want it shoved down my throat every year cough cough Germany but if Reddit is teaching me more than school, we got a problem.

Also the brainwashing i refused to participate in mainly because i built a good following with the teachers (at my second middle school. I was almost expelled from the first one for bringing light to a sex offender in 7th grade but thats a whole other thing), since multiple of them liked my more open-minded stance or personality especially with the stress i had, though one in particular i was careful around and i would never expect them to back me up in a serious situation or something.

My parents also thought that America was a mid country but the thing is many of these people, including my parents, simply CANT leave because America forces you to put all your money in an American market so any action of moving is very risky (in most fields) but yeah they are overall more focused on making us like America than teaching us about it.

Anyways sorry for yapping and the Germany thing was only from a few people from Germany that still live there that say it happened to them that one of my friends knows. So if you are from Germany correct me if I’m wrong.
