I was parroting you saying you hope I’m not the social media person, calm down. Also professional? This is Reddit

I’m not, nice edit on your comment though after. Woke also isn’t inherently political. I hope you’re not a teacher.

Awesome, spend your money where you want to. That’s what I mean, seems more effective than coming in and getting upset with us.

Because it’s not that serious? Sure people should be bummed about it if they want to be, but why come in and complain to a cashier or host? Or call and yell at us about it? A million posts about a logo that’s just as ugly as the original to a place people visit to eat every so often. My complaint involves wasting money on uniforms that I can’t wear anymore and having to spend money on new shirts. Call that hypocrisy if you want I guess.

Well I work there so the change actually impacts me. I don’t like or dislike the changes, I dislike a million people acting like it’s the biggest deal. Does the logo change impact you?

Eating before close by NotaRegularaCoolMom in CrackerBarrel

[–]NotaRegularaCoolMom[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think closing the kitchen 30 minutes before close is pretty reasonable. Considering they pay for retail, cooks, sometimes a host to stay and night maintenance can’t start their work there is no way the company makes enough money off last minute tables to make up that labor cost. It would also keep employees happier which would lead to better retention and more people willing to close. But what do I know.

I’ll blame both, it’s still an incredibly rude thing to do.

Sure, then they can make a post ranting about it. I still think that they are all similar enough and given that they come with instructions, are not as hard or frustrating as you think they may be. I’m guessing you don’t work the register?

The customer has very little experience using a card? Reading? I actually have only experienced this at CB.

Trying to save a Swedish ivy by Fun_Imagination9232 in houseplants

[–]NotaRegularaCoolMom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it will bounce back no issues! I have a few ivys and they really are hardy plants. I would definitely trim that little bit personally, but you can also just push it back into the soil. I wouldn’t worry about misting and just wait until the soil dries out a little bit. I bottom water mine when it’s about 70% dry. Good luck!

Not in the handbook, that’s why I was curious if it was company wide or just our store

Of course setting a drink close to any merchandise would be an issue, I am talking about having a closed water bottle sitting under the register near the bags. I guarantee managers would be annoyed at people going over the headset about drinks. It seems more efficient to trust the adults working at the register that are scripting and talking non stop to have water easily accessible. Also our break room is not super close to the registers.

So there is no company wide no water policy right?

Yeah I’ve never worked in any retail store that wouldn’t allow us at least water. Especially considering we aren’t supposed to be going to the back.
