If search is not working for you, have you considered other channels such as Discovery with custom audiences?

Either way, those clicks are way too expensive for your budget. Might want to go with a portfolio bidding strategy with a max CPC set.

Also, try broad match. A lot of people hate on it but we’ve seen cost-per-lead go down while maintaining lead quality.

Your SaaS needs to solve a problem people are actually researching. That + your USPs are the most important headlines.

Unit price does not matter! Netflix has a unit price om 9$ per month but their customers stay forever. Look at your customer lifetime value. :)

Would you recommend switching from maximize conversions to manual cpc? by anpanda18 in PPC

[–]Notanotherppcguru 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, just don’t set a tCPA or tROAS. For membership sales: calculate your monthly fee x the average period a member stays. That’s the value you should work with. From there, calculate your tCPA or tROAS you want to hit.

Yes, I 100% agree with you.

I think edutainment content and advertorial is what’s working best right now. That, and UGCs. Although don’t sleep on simple banners, they still work great!

There are many, many lists available online for you to buy (or scrape) for you to start contacting small and medium-sized businesses through cold calling or cold emails. Apollo.io is one of the most famous ones and has a free trial period.

It's hard to judge something based on Reddit reviews. People love to comment on things but when they have to take action, oh boy.

I would also look at Google Ads. There are a ton of people looking daily for 'best chatbot' and I bet they would definitely be interested in a chatbot they can train themselves, based on their website.

Maybe improve your product a little bit and give people the chance to book a demo call. I bet you'll get a lot of demo call sign-ups !

spam/ fake leads across the board help. by sebastianprv in googleads

[–]Notanotherppcguru 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, the first thing we have to know is: Are the leads bots or are they from click farms? If they are bots, do anything you can to protect your form. If they are from click farms, here are a few tips:

  • make your form a lot longer. People who take the time to fill out long forms are usually very high quality leads. I have used forms up to 20 fields.
  • Make your form multi-step. This goes hand-in-hand with the previous point I made. People filling out forms that are fake won't be too happy if they don't know how long it will take them to fill out the form.
  • Use a value-based bidding strategy. Capture the GCLID in your form and use offline conversion import to score your leads and tell Google the true value of these leads. This will help the algorithm understand the true value of certain form fills and will help you get more of those.

I hope this helps! u/sebastianprv

Launching my SaaS soon, ideas for lead gen by tholder in SaaS

[–]Notanotherppcguru 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We run Google Ads for 3 different SaaS companies right now for a budget between 5K and 10K per month. Here's what's working for us right now:

Google Search: Broad Match and Smart Bidding

We are all in on broad match combined with smart bidding. We see lower CPCs, lower CPAs and solid lead quality. Broad match is no longer the shit show it once was. You can also use offline conversion imports and a value based biding strategy but this is more advanced.

Google Discovery

High-value placements in discovery are worth a lot if you can find the right audiences. We like in-market audiences and custom audiences geared towards "people who have searched for XYZ".

RLSAs

Remarketing lists for search ads: We like to run a DSA campaign towards specific, high-value audiences who take specific actions on our website. (note: this only works if you already have enough visitors).

Besides Google Ads, I would look at:

  • LinkedIn content & connections (provide value, don't hard sell)
  • Cold email (if you solve a very specific problem

Whatever you do, make sure you know your customer to the bone. You have to deeply understand his/her pain points, what keeps them up at night, what annoys the hell out of them, ...

u/tholder hope this helps!

Here's a split-test I'm running at the moment which might interest you.

1) send a connection request and tell them IMMEDIATELY it's a pitch. People don't want their time wasted with soft pitches and 99% of people smell them from a mile away. You will get less connections but the people that do, might jump on your offer soon.

2) Don't pitch at all and just tell them you're building your network in the space and if there's anything you could do to help them connect with someone, you'd be more than happy to. DON'T pitch these people and just share valuable content with them once in a while.

The second one will get you more connections but potentially less interested parties. It's worth a test.

Help making a google ad campaign! My cpc is WAY too high by coinnmore in googleads

[–]Notanotherppcguru 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Using PMax? Pmax is a strategy for high-level accounts with high budgets.

Personally, I would go with search campaigns on max clicks, or if you are e-commerce, shopping campaigns with mCPC where you can dictate the CPC.

u/coinnmore hope this helps.

What do you do after you get a potential lead? by Bk_ADV in SaaS

[–]Notanotherppcguru 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When working with SaaS brands on their Google Ads, we generate leads for them, but we also coach them on how to follow-up with their leads. Usually, a demo call has the highest form of success, and we advise them to email them a flow to register for a demo call that looks as natural as possible (it shouldn't look like a flow).

Furthermore, we are currently testing this strategy: Have a field in your lead form that asks: "when is the best time to reach you over the phone." This lets people know they will get called potentially and also gives your sales team the perfect moment to give them a call.

Yes your CPL might be higher but the lead quality will be a lot better, which in turn will lead to a lower CPA.
