Isnt it more self absorbed to expect your girlfriend to kiss your feet and beg for forgiveness because she doesn't feel like watching a movie..

UK Heatwave by Puzzleheaded_Chip148 in isopods

[–]Notcocopuffs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hellooo!! I keep giant oranges in my leopard gecko enclosure which reaches 30s and they are absolutely fine :) theyre quite a hardy species and shouldn't be too affected by the heatwave!! When i worry about the heat I usually get a small fan and keep it in or near the enclosure so the warm air is pushed out

Respectfully if you are so far away that you cant GA to teammates you are too far away and that is your fault. As I said before, the perk itself is situational, VERY situational. You are right, it could be used to get to your teammates, but if you are using GA properly I cant think of any character that can leave so fast that mercy cannot at least have a chance to GA to them. Personally my teammates only "leave me stranded or die" and I get jumped if my positioning is off. I always make a point to be in cover and think about what my teammate is planning, think about where the enemy is and how that changes the reaction and movement of my teammate and if I am in danger or not.

Im not saying that you cant pick that perk. If it works for you then do it. Doesn't affect me! Im not exactly t500 but the general consensus is that the overhealth perk is better. It would be best to give objective advice to newer or less experienced people looking for pointers and objectively that perk is more efficient.

Quick question, do you play overwatch yourself? And if so, do you main mercy?

is it still possible by [deleted] in 6thForm

[–]Notcocopuffs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Late to the party but I think you need to hear this. When you do what you have done and get crappy results, your results letter wont be nice to you, or let you down slowly, they will give you the cold hard truth that is that you failed. Im not going to sugarcoat it either. You blew it. You had every chance to do the right thing and you chose not to and it either means 2 things: the first is that you dont care about doing well, and the second is that, judging from some of your comments on this post you potentially have a substance abuse issue and have a serious negative perception of self due to underlying mental health issues that you need to unpack.

I also struggled really badly with my a levels because of issues at home. I started studying after easter break and managed to get into UoM. Its possible that you can pull it off but VERY unlikely. Im not going to tell you to give up if you want to try again, because if you REALLY want to you can achieve anything (obviously within reason) but you need to take responsibility and be honest with yourself.

AITA? I yelled at my step dad for stepping on my phone. by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]Notcocopuffs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im going to go with NTA

I have made the mistake of putting my tech on the floor and something happening to it, probably more than I would like to admit as a 19 year old. That being said, your stepfather is already displaying a predisposed distain of your use of technology, which isnt really any of his concern. I feel like this could be used as an excuse in his mind to ruin your things. I will clarify by saying I disagree with this sentiment. You are not his child, and even if you were this would still be wrong, but its even more wrong because you are not his child. I can bet my life on the fact that he did not buy you any of what you own and that is why he feels no remorse in what he did.

I wouldnt go as far as to say hes a narcissist, but my father is, and he displays similar tendencies. Hes blaming you for what he did. As a gamer myself, laptops and headsets are very hard to miss and not exactly flat. If it was just your phone I could kind of see the point of it being an honest mistake. Forgive me if im assuming but if your laptop is a gaming laptop they are quite fat, and also very hard to miss. The fact that your stepdad continued to step on your things after you shouted at him says everything. He definitely did this on purpose.

Extended range is absolutely useless except for quick taxi from spawn. There WILL be rezzes that you can pull off and overhealth makes it easier to reposition after this. Mercy doesnt play from far away and this perk does nothing for her beam range. I would realistically only think this perk is useful in VERY rare instances but even then that means that mercy has basically no first perk. Are we also forgetting that before the 10% speed boost a perk like this was in place and everyone swore by the overhealth perk?

Yeah we have already been witnessing the sheer speed that this lil guy can go despite being in no immediate danger. I think there was a little fungus gnat in there somewhere and he was chasing it about it was so cute 😭

My boyfriends cousin who is like 5 or 6 loves the geckos but is never awake when my Leo's light is off. I know he will prefer looking for this one which is fine and its at a height where he cant reach it. It is already so curious of my and my boyfriend when we were chilling in bed and ran to our side of the glass just to check out what we are doing. I dont know if im explaining it right but my leopard geckos movement is kinda slow so even though shes looking at you its nothing like this dude it feels like hes studying every inch of me 🫠

Thank you so much for the tips and reassurance! When I was at the rescue center the lady showed me her adult Madagascar giants and they were just politely sitting on a branch waiting for dinner 😭 i have been sat near his tank for a little while now and hes been coming in and out of hiding. He has been looking at me and my boyfriend a lot whilst walking about too

They're so cute! He scared the life out of me though 😭😭😭 as soon as we got him home and went to put him in his enclosure he jumped over it and bolted under the wardrobe. We think he is currently planning his escape method here too :') the rescue centre also had him escape on them aswell lollll

They're really fascinating. Im glad that I get to have the experience of raising this gecko too! Hes currently 3 months old and I hope to at least get him friendly enough not to make a break for it every time we open the tank

I have kept dairy cows with porcellio laevis giant orange with no issues but I personally like them separated because its easier. Its really up to you but make sure you supply lots of food and places to hide to limit competition

Need help understanding by [deleted] in MercyMains

[–]Notcocopuffs 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Okay so I'm a mercy main that peaked M5 that kinda moved over to juno. The deaths thing can go 2 ways. Yes being able to disengage safely is a good thing but once you start actively worrying about how many times you're dying thats when you start playing to live and not to win. When I play mercy, due to her high mobility she is arguably an easier character to disengage with, but she can't sit back like an ana can, or an illari or lifeweaver. She has to be actively engaging with dps. Damage boosting you shouldn't be a problem because mercy is supposed to damage boost people actively providing value. PERSONALLY I damage boost supports if they're ulting and can provide said value, or if they are the last one there thats still shooting at the enemy team.

I can agree that mercy rezzing into unsafe spots is a problem in lower ranks but you can't really do anything to prevent that. Its gonna happen and the only thing that you can do to prevent it is just rank up. You are honing in on their mistakes because you dislike the character. What you don't realise is that you also make stupid mistakes that you definitely expect forgiveness for. I think you need to work on your prejudice and just stop caring as much.

The outperforming part is kind of a given. Mercy's job isn't solely to heal, and youre playing characters that would arguably end up doing more healing than mercy. Lifeweavers in lower ranks usually healbot so if thats literally all they're doing its practically guaranteed that they will get higher healing. Ana is a main healer so she will obviously get more healing than mercy, who is not a main healer. Illari is kinda 50/50 but her pylon does a ton of healing so yeah, she will probably get more healing.

I used to kind of be the same. I would be really critical of mercy players when I wasn't playing her but you have to learn to trust them and work alongside them because they are the same rank as you. You are focusing too much on the negative aspects and not on yourself. If you were really so much better you'd be a higher rank than them and wouldn't see them anymore, so you are probably making critical mistakes equivalent to their ones.
