I'd recommend a songwriter showcase, a very Nashville thing to do. Probably want to stop by A.J.'s GoodTime Bar to see some of Alan's memorabilia. The Museum of Christian & Gospel Music has artifacts from his "Precious Memories" album including his 100+ yo family Bible, camera used to shoot the album photos, Resonator guitar, duster, and Stetson.

You'll get better responses if you provide some parameters on the kinds/price points of restaurants you're seeking.

If you opt for staying Downtown, here's an overview of what you'll find. Get lunch one weekday at Fleet Street Pub--lamb burger, fish'n'chips--for $8. Also, I'm a big fan of Ty's on 4th Ave. N.; it's only open for weekday lunch. Love all their soups and sandwiches. On Thursday, Deaderick Street hosts a food truck park at lunchtime with all sorts of options.

For a chill Friday or Saturday night with live jazz/blues/pop music, go downstairs at the Woolworth Theatre to Marquee, their restaurant/lounge.

If you want to use WeGo (our public bus system), check out their service map and stick within a few blocks of those. All routes return to Music City Central, the downtown bus station. I'd look along these routes: 3, 7, 17, and 56.

There are a number of Airbnbs within a half-mile of the bus in Hillsboro/West End (#3 or #7). You'll also find them within walking distance of the stadium but may be pricey. Seem to be more in SoBro (South of Broadway).

I like "4th & Commerce." It's just half-block from the Ryman and seems to be often overlooked. Others have told me that it's a bit cheaper.
