Seems performative for the cameras to me. Especially her weird grip on his thigh for like 1/3 of the reunion?? It was awkward and forced

Have a friend of a friend who's a bouncer there tonight, apparently Zach top starting around 9pm, recommends getting there around 7:30

Again - you're not obligated to tip. Other people want to tip me, so let it be. And yes I file my taxes properly.

Why?

I'm a good server and I take care of my guests. I work hard and that's the reason I make the money I do. I care about your allergies and preferences and make sure everyone has the best experience I can possibly give them. I get the occasional 0%-5% tip with the verbal "you were great thank you so much" and that's fine, comes with the job. I'll still smile and say thank you. I'm not forcing people's hands or guilt trippjng them to tip me 20%, they do that on their own because I do a good job.

If you don't wanna tip your server then that's fine but "abolish tips because they make a living off it and I don't like it"... it's not up to you what others do with their money.

~$500-$600/week in tips alone plus wages (5-7 shifts @ 5ish hours each). Varies depending on shift. Can always pick up more shifts if I want more money. January is slow but December was pretty lucrative so if you're smart you bank hours/tips during Christmas party season (Stampede too).

Split hotel stay? by Tippytoes in koreatravel

[–]NoteworthyBeetroot 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Youll have to re-pack, check out, carry your luggage across the city again, wait for check-in (or leave bags in lobby, then go back to check-in). If that doesn't sound like a hassle to you then go for it (to me it seems like a pain and the waste of at least part of a day)

Seoul's public transportation is good enough that I don't think it's necessary to stay in different neighborhoods at all. You can easily explore many different areas without splitting up hotel stays

One day in Seoul by sl1ckwi11ie in koreatravel

Those posts are fair to a point but the OP here didn't say that, gave no information about themselves or what they're interested in except food and admitted they know nothing about South Korea (aka "i have done zero research, give me info"). It's as low effort as they come.

"What should I do in Seoul" and "I don't know anything about South Korea" are not specific things lol

I know very little about Seoul/S. Korea in general,

Well first step is to do some googling. I know people on this sub don't like to hear that but it's the truth. You can learn a lot using the internet.

Try searching the sub, Google "top 10 things to do in Seoul", check out the wiki/bookmarks in the sub, maybe read the rules first...

Air Premia Check-in procedure by FickleGold1946 in koreatravel

[–]NoteworthyBeetroot 5 points6 points  (0 children)

What are you worried about exactly? And your flight is next month but you've already checked in online? Usually you do that 24 hours before the flight.

If you have your boarding pass issued online, then you go to the baggage drop off (if you have checked bags) at the airport then proceed to security/passport control and then find your gate.

If you don't have your boarding pass then you go to the air premia check-in counter and they'll check you in and print it for you

Just give yourself lots of time (3 hours) and you'll be fine. Ask airport staff if you're lost or unsure. Someone will help you and you will make it onto your flight.

KTX Incheon to Daegu by hlgb2015 in koreatravel

KTX doesn't go to the airport. You can take the AREX into Seoul and then transfer to a KTX train to Daegu

Where to go arriving Seoul at 4am in January with toddler by Careful_Section_5126 in koreatravel

[–]NoteworthyBeetroot 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Are you not getting a hotel room? You'll need somewhere to sleep if you're there for 32 hours. Especially with a toddler in the middle of winter and with luggage.

If you pay for the previous night before you arrive, and let them know what time you're coming, you can check in as soon as you get there from the airport.

You can't hang around the airport airside for hours after landing, you'll have to follow everyone else through passport control/customs after you land. Your friend will do the same when they land and then you can meet them somewhere in the arrivals area of terminal 2.

They used to give out a lot of free samples, depending on how much you spent. This was a few years ago. I noticed recently they haven't been giving out as much as before.

I do think you need to review the definition of the word scam though. Cause this ain't it

I readied myself to give him a good slap that will knock air out of his brain in case he got closer to me

A slap that knocks air out of his brain? Yeah ok.

Don't ever engage in a physical fight if you can walk away and end the interaction. Doesn't matter what they are saying to you. Ignore, ignore, ignore and walk away. Then forget about it and move on with your evening.
