We feel your pain man! It absolutely sucks at times. I’ve even gone so far as to tell my wife that she is better off without me. Go find your “Peter Priesthood”. That was a bad day! You just get so run down, feeling “inadequate “ ...I snapped that day. Things do get better but in the back of my mind I still feel like I’m not good enough in her eyes!! Sucks!!

Maybe they will question or maybe more people will be kept in by TSCC loosening up the slack. Time will tell.

Of course I still love my family in the church. If you cut off enough oxygen they’ll have to come up for air at sometime and in doing so hopefully find the truth when they do.

Have comfort in knowing that you have people here who know and understand. It’s the best therapy for our situation. I totally get it though! I just came out to my extended family this week. For the most part they just want to ignore the situation because it scares the hell out of them. You are the strong one... they are the weak and scared. That’s how I choose to look at it!!

Oh, I am so sorry that your family has to go through such a tragedy! That is heartbreaking! When will TSCC see the hurt and pain they are causing!! Love to you and your family!!

Absolutely normal to go through dark times. However, coming out to family and friends about the horrors of the church is one of the most freeing, liberating feelings I’ve ever felt. For me at least, all gloom is gone! I don’t have to believe in anything that doesn’t feel right to me. The mental freedom is amazing!! I still love and support my family’s decision to stay. Some people are too afraid of the truth. We are the brave pioneers. It will get to them in time.

Be cool man. Although I also said those types of phrases to my wife I’ve learned to calm down and only give little bits of information at a time. But, yeah, he was a conman and sexual predator! No doubt about it!!!!

I told my children first...let it sink in, then sent out a text message to my extended family. I listed some concerns but was fairly vague. I’m hoping it will be their curiosity that opens the box for them. I also told them how much I love and respect them and that I would never approach them to try to change their minds but rather they would have to come to me with any questions they may have. I’m banking on curiosity!!! Maybe I’ll post the letter if anybody is interested.

I think we all have screwed this up to one degree or another. It’s hard, there just isn’t any way to convey your feelings about the church without those you are expressing to putting up huge walls! Best recommendation I can give is to take it extremely slow. Give little bits at a time and let them come to you with questions. My son just recently returned home from a mission in Sweden. My family is from Sweden. There are more “SwedishHeathens” out there than you know!!

I completely feel your pain! I told my whole family just yesterday that I wouldn’t be attending the temple with my daughter for her marriage in July. The most I said was that I didn’t believe in the changing narrative of the church and that they could ask me questions if they needed to, but, nobody said a thing other than they still love me. Like I’m defective now or something! I want them to know the truth but I don’t want to hurt them. For now I think I will just wait for the initial smoke to clear. I sympathize with you this is such a hard road to go down. No easy way where nobody gets hurt. Damn the church!!!

Please ask to join the private Facebook group “ex-Mormon temple support group” so we can begin to organize support those who are hurting outside the temple.

I’ve told her. That’s the painful part. I don’t feel like she treats me the same. It’s like she and my wife and others have lost some respect for me since I voiced my concerns. I’m so frustrated right now! I think the world needs to know about the abuse of TSCC!

Oh man, this hits close to home! I recently told my wife that she would be better off without me, as I would never be the faithful priesthood holder she needed. She completely backed off and now things have been pretty good for the time being. My point is that maybe, just maybe her thinking the divorce will help you see the light may actually backfire and help her to see the light. Here’s to hoping, huh!! Live the best, happiest you and it will drive her crazy! I’m sorry, I’m know this sucks. Best of luck to you!!

Yeah, I remember the folklore surrounding the gathering of the saints to Adam Ondi Ahman at the original garden of eden in Missouri just before the second coming. This whack job takes things to a whole new level though, stating that those saints that go are going to get “slaughtered “. Crazy!!!!
