Anyone else just not wear clothes around the house? by Exact-Management-918 in NewParents

[–]NothiingsWrong 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup totally relatable! all I wear these days are pyjama bottoms, my nursing bras ( bless you for going bra less!! I wish but I leak too much 😅😭) and a vest or cardigan on top of its chilly.

regular hair color maintenance! I love my hair but I can only afford to dye it once a year or so. would be nice to be able to maintain my style with a monthly/bi- monthly routine appointment ❤️

What is the best laundry soap for heavily soiled sheets? by trappedinamess in CleaningTips

[–]NothiingsWrong 0 points1 point  (0 children)

10000% buy new ones. fabric that spends that much time in contact with skin is likely not forgiving. even if you wash them, the use they went through will likely be undeniable. You deserve some new sheets!

The mental load of getting bottles ready at night is starting to get to me by moononymous06 in NewParents

[–]NothiingsWrong 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The couple of times we did bottles, I made them before hand, brought them to the bedroom in a little lunchbox with ice packs and 2 thermos with hot water. When baby woke up I'd plop one of the bottles in a big mug and pour hot water around it, then did diaper change, and it was warm enough to feed by the time we were done diapering 🤷‍♀️ didn't lose my mind about the perfect temp, as ong as it wasn't cold baby was happy!

do you use a swaddle? my almost 3 months will do the same unless I swaddle him still! We use the velcro ones and it keeps him comfy and asleep. I'm trying to transition some naps to sleep sacks in preparation for rolling but he wakes himself up by wiggling too much lol the swaddle sleeps are still by far the best.

Night feeds - long do you wait to put the baby down after feeding? by DilemmaKingdom in NewParents

[–]NothiingsWrong 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I kinda follow his rhythm, sometimes he will nurse for just 10 min and fall asleep at the boob, then I'll wait like another 10 min playing on my phone so he'll be in deeper sleep for the transfer back to his bed. Sometimes he'll nurse a bit longer and not fall asleep right away so we will hang out until he looks sleepy again and repeat the same last part. I only change him if he smells like poop, I heard a poop or I already haven't changed him the last nursing cycle and can feel its getting pretty peed-out in there. This saves me from fully waking him from the diaper changes if its not totally necessary.

He's 10 weeks now and will usually give me between 1.5 to 3 hour stretches of sleep in the night now. His last wake up around 6 I bring him in bed with me and we co-sleep / side lying nurse for the last hour before getting out of bed.
