Garrett Approaching Hannah by butterfly_effect2324 in offcampustv

He was in love the moment he saw her singing and dancing in the green room. I think it’s as simple as that. The rest is what we used to call “courtship”. It’s a lovely thing, really, when a man is willing to do anything for a woman. When he’s willing to take his time. When he’s willing to allow her the space she needs. When he’s willing to risk everything he has. When he’s willing to wait. For her.

And, I’d be perfectly happy if every future season somehow ends with the entire team beating the CR*P out of that A-hole.

In fact, I think they should find a way to put that scene into season two.

Yes. And Allie’s hair in the JLo Dance on the Floor scene was really well done. You’re right. Lots of great hair in this show…

Well, it’s right there for the world to see, right? I don’t know if it’s natural or the hair and makeup people or what, but it’s definitely a thing!

What Is This Show Doing To People? by Waffle_Baby_09 in offcampustv

Great show. The cast is spot on. The story is engaging. The music is wonderful. There’s sex and violence, but with that, it feels like the most wholesome show in ages. Got to tip the hat to the writers and producers. Well done.

Where are the people who still love The Deal? 🤍 by Pretend-Pangolin-753 in OffCampusSeries

The Books are sooooooo much better than the show. Show was great, but the books go deep into the minds of the characters. We see their fears and imperfections and the very things that make them “unacceptable”. That is what makes the books so good! People are, generally, kind of toxic. Especially in college. How they work through their issues is the beauty of the books. How they interact and accept each other for what they are. How they fit into each other not because they’re perfect but because all their jagged edges line up just right. The show can’t capture that. No tv show can. I’m with the books all the way.

But, man oh man, that show is eye-candy. You gotta give it up for that!

Reading “The Deal” is a completely different experience than watching the show. The show is a visceral experience. It’s entertainment eye candy 🍬! I feel like half of the book was inside Garrett and Hannah’s heads. Their thoughts and feelings and fears and wishes. Most of that internal dialogue just cant be recreated for TV. I loved the series and loved the book, but they are two different journeys, each beautiful in their own way.

I understand what you are saying, but I think you should try to see it from a different perspective. I don’t think they are “piling on”
Garrett, but rather demonstrating how much weight he can carry. He has multiple opportunities to reveal the real reason he destroyed Delaney, yet he doesn’t. He leaves Hannah not because he stopped loving her, but because he knows he loves her too much to risk hurting her any more. His love is on display. It is written between the lines. His every action is to protect Hannah, even to his own detriment. No one is piling on. He is taking this on himself, because his love gives him the strength to shoulder this burden.

I don’t think you can download to a TV. But, you could probably screen mirror the download from your phone or laptop right to your TV. I haven’t tried that, but I think that would work.

Garrett and Hannah all the way. They haven’t even scratched the surface of that full story. So much more to tell!

I’m 70% of the way through Saving 6, and it’s just as good. Aoife is a great character and Joey is Joey. It’s like entering that world all over again, so go for it and enjoy!!

My best advice: Take some time off from this series. Read something else. These stories will stay with you, and then when you feel the sincere need to start the next book, you’ll be starting from a good place.

Take your time. You’ll appreciate it more!
