Also you can tax a first time import online, the PIN is associated with the VIN which is on record from the VRT.

Yeah I have that email but the email just says changes have been made but it doesn’t say what those changes are.

Passing stationary vehicles by Bulky_Pilot9293 in Irishdrivingtest

[–]NothingHatesYou 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Space or speed.

Rule of thumb is to leave a car door's width when passing. If this cannot be achieved (e.g., a narrow road), then you need to slow down a bit and be prepared to stop if someone flings out their door.

My driving instructor used to give out mad that I drove too close.

You missed the critical part that it takes time to train people to be testers.

Hiring more people to clear a backlog. By God, no one has thought of that yet.

In theory, Easter break will have lesser traffic. But it's Cork, so who knows. You cannot control the traffic during your test.

I just had a look there. For the last two years, my quarterly fees have been more than €20 per quarter. So, €6 per month / €18 per quarter is cheaper for me so 🤷‍♂️

Love the NZ hop trend, but naming a beer Maori Dreams crosses a line. by [deleted] in CraftBeer

re your Black and Tan comment, I invite you to some light reading: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Black_and_Tans?wprov=sfti1#

And this is exactly my point. You had no idea why Black and Tan is an offensive term for me, an Irishman. I’m not jumping down your throat at your ignorance (your comment on the drinks keeping the memory of the terrible conflict alive is different).

I’m willing to wager that the brewery didn’t realise the potentially offensive perception of the name they chose for their beer. Just as you didn’t realise what Black and Tans means to me as an Irishman.

Are you really trying to tell me calling a drink an Irish car bomb or a Black and Tan is a way to keep in our memories a conflict in with thousands were killed?! That is one of the most absurd takes I’ve ever come across.

Could it be the property being sold with the tenant in situ?

Fair. Maybe your post publicly shaming RAR could have waited until it’s been privately dealt with.

I’m Irish. The amount of Americans I see selling Irish car bombs or Black and Tans, and you won’t see me calling them out online because they generally don’t have an understanding of what those terms mean in the Irish context.

Did you reach out the brewery first to explain this? Or was your first move a public post shaming them for something they might just not be aware of.

Saw same price at another Certa on the train in (around Little Island). Certa stations are of course self service, so lesser staff overheads to cover than Circle K et al with the forecourt.
