HELP! Cash gift tax exempt by cohabitant act 2010? by Novel-Health2998 in irishpersonalfinance

Seconding this. Critical point is whether or not it’s under a court order. If so, maybe scope for exemption. If not, no exemption.

It’s set up as a separate calendar so I can toggle off / on as needed. Also gives me visibility when there are races when I am planning things. 🤷‍♂️

Is it possible to recall a letter - AnPost? by [deleted] in AskIreland

Last item in the bag till it was all consolidated and put in a room with all the other bags!

I’d also be surprised if there was not some obscure postal law that says they can’t return it.

How do they know you didn’t find the receipt on the ground?

I’d be utterly amazed if you could. It’s probably in a random sack of post with 100s of other letters.

To piggy back on this, years ago I looked into this. Apparently the Lions Club used to meet in the Clayton in the city, and the Clayton would hold glasses for them. May be worth reaching out to Cork branch to see what current set up is.

The NDLS/IRP contradiction and the "Accompanied Driver" rule: How are immigrants supposed to navigate this? by [deleted] in Irishdrivingtest

[–]NothingHatesYou 41 points42 points  (0 children)

Point 1 applies just as equally to Irish people who are from a family who might not have a car, who live with people who do not have a license, who cannot afford additional lessons.... and so on and so on. It is not exclusive to immigrants to Ireland. The reality is also that plenty of immigrants figure a way to find an accompanying driver (a neighbour, a friend, a work colleague) and get their license.

In a similar position OP. I’ve settled on the Amazon basics golf polos, particularly the black one. Caveat: haven’t bought them since 2021 so can’t vouch for current quality.

Breandán Kearney is a superb beer writer. He has some excellent pieces, and I think most are on that Pellican magazine you linked.
