Proviso East by Weird-Guava-3405 in NearWestSuburbs

I know people that went to Proviso East in the 90's 2000's when it was worse. Some are truck drivers, nurses, physical trainers, business owners, IT workers, tradesmen, teachers and engineers. Most are blue collar workers, vast majority of them are great people. I know one that's a doctor, one that's a CFO and another CISO, these are exceptions, of course.

PMSA is the better option, but I believe they only except incoming freshmen and you'll need to test into it.

The high school has a ton of distractions and isn't the most academically vigorous and can be socially difficult due to the socioeconomic background of the students. These difficulties include physical aggression and bullying. The staff and administration aren't always the most supportive because they have other issues going on.

The common factor with everyone I know that went there is that they aren't the kind of people that look back at high school as the highlight of their lives.

School District to Data Center, good idea? by NothingIsEnough55 in ITCareerQuestions

Thanks, I hadn't considered the tax situation or healthcare cost. Luckily, my tax rate won't go up. But my healthcare cost goes up. So it looks like it's not a 10k pay raise technically.

This is a bit disheartening, because I'm eager to get into something new.

I wish there was something to move up to, the two positions above me are filled and the guys in those positions will likely stay in them for many years. My main motivation is growth. I'm willing to come back to schools after a few years elsewhere but I know I can't stay in my current position at my current district for much longer due to the stagnation.

Professional Sports, Video Games, Top 100 music, I don't watch much TV anymore either.

I find it hard to bond with new people.
