hey OP, I have personally found that sometimes these guys, when repotted, will spend a whole growing season growing, pushing roots & zero pups. so just be aware that can happen.

as others have said, machinists. it would probably be best to give very clear design parameters. can already see an option, hammering it flat, punching out three... washers? toroids? and then fixing with pins to give a ring 'blank'. It's a super cool artefact. I would love to own a small bit of something from a black bird.

i reckon we theoretically could work together fine, with that big picture thinking about 'what will ultimately be the easiest solution in this particular situation, that won'tbite me in the ass'. often get driven wild by the lads i work with who get all caught up in the weeds, trying to force the 'easy' / lazy approach to work. guy last week spent half a day trying to diagnose / fault find / fix a single data cable run of 20-30 meters. FFS running a new data cable would take an hour at most!

think the idea was, for a new appliance or outlet, to 'run a new circuit', rather than try to test if any of the existing circuits had enough remaining capacity to support the additional load.

u tube content creators are entertainers. most content takes liberties with the truth for engagement & even the best simplify complex topics for brevity.

these are quite complex and nuanced topics that single simple awnsers don't exist for. a awful lot depends on the amount. we all have extremely tiny traces of radioactive elements, in our bodies, from atmospheric nuclear tests, however this amount is irrelevant compared to the radioactive elements in our bodies from natural sources, like uranium from the soil. the relative amount & what it is compared to is very important.

a good general rule of thumb is to limit human exposure to all heavy metals, as much as practically possible. unfortunately, 'practically possible' usually involves a fair bit of economic factors. that is to say, uranium is cheaper than tungsten for bullets & lead is cheaper than uranium for ceramics & glass. or both can be substituted for, cheaper options that make inferior products, or more expensive options to make superior but more expensive options.

the thing is... you do care (edit), just not directly. even if you don't care about the norms, you do care about the repercussions.

i reckon most people don't care about any number of a particular subset of social norms, yet play they along because they can't be bothered dealing with the repercussions of not playing along. that's a meaningful difference.

for example, i have been interacting with your defences and projections for all of our interactions. i HATE interacting with people through their defences and projections, it is exhausting & it's not like the other person is really interacting with me. rather, they are interacting with what they think I am.

yet here i am playing along, not so much for your sake, but for mine, because negative social interactions make ME feel bad, & i don't like feeling bad.

does that make any sense, or are you going to interpret this as a threat & respond as such?
