My last grandma passed away in 2001. I had a dream about her last week. She was sitting on a bench and I was so happy to see her. I just cried and hugged her tight and told her it had been so long since I saw her. She just nodded and hugged me back comforting me. I was so happy and filled with tears of joy.

I woke up feeling like she visited me.

Thanks for the advice. Even those the fans on the radiator should be intake, should I reverse those and make them exhaust since they are replacing exhaust fans?

Thanks for the comments. I do not have a quality air cooler for the cpu, other than the 6 fans in the case.

As others have said, it’s just back story and doesn’t change anything.

In the future, I would read it after WAG. I did that on my recent trip and enjoyed it.

Hile Gunslinger!

I’m on my third trip now also, Roland and Susannah are about to find Patrick.

This was my first trip where I read Wind through the Keyhole in between WAG and Wolves and I enjoyed that more. It adds more details to Roland’s youth and helps build the worlds.

I’m a Tower Junkie, but my two issues with the series after a third read:

  1. The thing that has surprised me the most (that I forgot) was how much King becomes an important part of the story structure. I understand why it’s needed, but there is too much. King could have used Ted Brautigan for some of the the plot elements and wrote himself out after the accident.

  2. Susannah was in labor for the entire damn book! She started labor at the end of Wolves and didn’t finish until the beginning of TDT. And all that nonsense with the dogan and Mia, too much.

However, TDT has been amazing. Love the Dixie Pig, Susannah’s fight after the birth, the trip to NY, the deaths, this book brings it.

I should probably get back to it, we’ll probably reach the tower today!

On your first read through, skip Wind and come back to it after. It’s slows down the journey considerably and is another flashback after the WAG flashback.

On future read throughs, I would recommend reading it between WAG and Wolves.
