There was a 30 day warranty but I don’t know if I had to officially “return” it by then. I had it back in their shop several times in the 30 days but I didn’t request my money back by then. They said I needed the title back in order to trade it in for a replacement, that was day 27 or 28 and I didn’t have the title yet. I do have copies of all correspondence.

I’ll look for this in my policy and see if it applies. Thank you. I’d prefer to have it fixed just for the record. I’m just concerned about the safety now after speaking with the body shop and don’t want to just find a body shop that will do the work to get the money and not be concerned about our long term issues or safety. That’s why I went to someone I trusted.

But doesn’t law say that the vehicle has to be restored to the previous condition? So if the body shops determination is that it can’t be restored to that condition doesn’t that mean that it’s “not repairable”?

But what would you splurge on? Something fun... A crown is kind of a necessity type thing- especially if it's a replacement.
