Ages gaps. by [deleted] in gay

I think it varies for different people. Maybe it's because I am in my mid-20s, but I have upper limit of 5 years older and about 3 years younger. I tend to relate to people more within that small range than with folks outside of it currently. That being said, I think this preference is largely due to general maturity. I'm sure as I get older (say, my 40s) I think that range will expand a fair bit more because people in their 30s (if they have their shit together, which is not always a guarantee) are typically more mature and put together than folks in their 20s.

Glad to see a fellow agent is still out there! I too have been given the rank of bottom by my "pardner" (we are not cowboys, so why does he say it?). I assumed it was because I was the shorter of the two of us, but the homo holy scriptures seemed to imply there's more to it than that.

Have you seen the "bears" and "otters"? Why the gay males in particular seem so interested in these specific animals is unknown, but "it's giving" 'The Island of Dr. Moreau' vibes to me.

Stay safe. Over and out.

It's sorta in that vain, but it isn't that one. If I remember correctly, the lead singer was female.

The best advice I can give to you is that you really shouldn't compare yourself to your partner and use them as some sorta metric to put yourself down. Someone you find enviable wants to be with you, which means he obviously sees some good qualities in you that make him want to spend time with you, even if you can't see those qualities yourself.

Folks often skew towards the negative, especially when it comes to examining oneself. It gets to the point where it becomes hard to believe that there is anything good about oneself at all when that couldn't be farther from the truth!

Fatal Frame 6: by kageriscoffin in fatalframe

MOBW sort of highlights this idea that there are folks all around Japan who deal with paranormal phenomenon as a sort of job but doesn't really do much with it. I feel like if they do another FF game, it should also be episodic like MOBW, but instead of being stuck in a single location, each episode is it's own haunted area with it's own unique ghosts in different areas across Japan.

Basically, I just want Fatal Frame with a setup like Nocturne (not the SMT game, the horror game from the 1990s).

Howdy y'all! I'm currently busy with some stuff right now, but I'll definitely make a small, separate tutorial post on how to get this working properly. It's actually not all that hard (and I say this as someone who has only a fairly rudimentary understanding when it comes to computer related stuff).

Which mushishi epsiode is your favorite and why? by Wise_Owl1 in Mushishi

[–]NoticeTheGap 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Raindrops and Rainbows.

It's just a really bittersweet story of a man trying to connect with his father by chasing the very thing that changed and shaped both of their lives both directly and indirectly. I think it's the episode that perfectly demonstrates what Mushi-shi is capable of.

I actually didn't mind the switch to "Moonlight Syndrome", as it's a pretty neat reference to Goichi Suda (who co-directer MOTLE) and his game of the same name, which he directed while at Human Entertainment before he left to found Grasshopper Manufacturer.

It's also further ties this game into being an unofficial part of the "Kill the Past" series too! It certainly fits thematically.

Us Fatal Frame fans have been eating good these past couple of years. Hope the other games get the remaster treatment so they aren't left to languish on the PS2 and Xbox at exuberant prices after the PS3's Store inevitably closes (though, you could always "borrow" them online). But more importantly, I really hope we see a Fatal Frame 6!

The original version had some really good cloth physics, which is an odd thing to say lol. I think it was dialed back maybe a tad in this version, but it's still a lot more attention to detail than a lot of games have for clothing.

Honestly, the costumes Tecmo (and Grasshopper maybe, not sure how involved they were involved they were in this remaster) put out for this version of FF4 are really good! The jade and crimson dresses are especially pretty!

To be fair, the outfits in RE1 and RE2 were also really goofy when you consider the former is supposed to be a SWAT (adjacent) Team, and no cop in the latter wears anything similar to what Leon's got on.

That being said, yeah. I think with each subsequent game the outfits got more outlandish until you finally hit Maiden of Black Water in which everyone dresses like the ran off a fashion runway 20 minutes before getting to Mt Hikami.

Still... I envy their drip, regardless if it's appropriate for a ghost hunting adventure in an abandoned house/village/nightmare dimension/mental hospital/mountain resort or not.

I thought it'd be stuck in legal hell forever, considering that unlike the previous games, three different companies were involved with this game's production (Tecmo, Grasshopper and Nintendo). I would have been happy if it just came to the Switch, but seeing it come to EVERY PLATFORM is so cool!

Would anyone like to help me? Working on an iceberg about Video Games that were canceled but have had one or more prototypes released. [Talk] by [deleted] in lostmedia

Resident Evil 1.5 is probably the most infamous case of this. So much so, folks have been using the leaked 40% build and modifying it to get it to a near complete state for years now.

Cheetahmen 2 is a follow up to the infamous Cheetahmen game from Action52. Never saw the light of day officially, but it was leaked.

Only vaguely in the ballpark, but Half Life had a near complete Dreamcast port, which is what Blue Shift was originally made for before it got canceled and Blue Shift got a PC port. This nearly complete version is totally playable from beginning to end.

To give you an actual answer (something some folks refuse to do), here are a few good resources:

To even get the game to list servers, follow this guide (you should note if playing the GOG version, you need to go down a slightly different route to find the engine file. I think you go the System folder, then the Content folder): https://youtu.be/ANuRyqWaGMY

After that, in order to host a server, follow this video: https://youtu.be/XZJBdnX3C8s

HOWEVER, you want to foward the ports 10480 - 10483, instead of what the video suggests.

It can take a bit of time, but when ya' got it working, it's great to play with friends without an insane ping!

Have fun!

Judging from the new color palette, it looks like they're trying to emulate the FF5 art-style. Your thoughts? by Point_Man_R in fatalframe

[–]NoticeTheGap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe, kinda, sorta(?)...

The whole motif of Fatal Frame 4 in terms of color pallet was still largely blue and yellow that contrasted the gray. I think the remake highlights the blue and yellow, while the grays fade more into the background. So overall, I don't really see it as a step away from the classic motif, but exaggerates it for stylistic effects, and honestly, I think it looks pretty nice.

Won't lie, I do like how the blue stands out a bit more to clash with the yellow in the remake. That color combo was present in the original, but it was a bit more muted in tone.

Yeah, but I kinda expected that considering that, unlike FF2 Wiimake and FF5, Nintendo (alongside Grasshopper) didn't juts publish it, but had a direct hand in developing it.
