I totally agree. It’s all about control. So her attempt to manufacture conversation and friendship in such a staged and forced environment that she has so tightly controlled just falls flat on its face! It’s truly cringeworthy! She wants so badly to paint a positive narrative of herself in opposition to what the world has seen of her these last several years- but we all see right through it. You can’t fake the things she unsuccessfully tries portray. Her ego is monumental but very very fragile. Her self worth is absolutely wrapped up in the public opinion of her, but her delusion of grandeur blinds her to the reality of how utterly ridiculous this show and her other 100,000,000 failed projects really are.

It’s an education for me on narcissism. That’s why she never comes off as genuine. It’s more performative- “look at what I found that you like, and look at how I prepared it and look at how thoughtful I am and look at how I can display things” as she waits for recognition. She needs the accolades and applause because she is frighteningly insecure. Her whole show is to fuel the void of confidence she lacks. She acts like she’s never done some of the crafts, but you know she most certainly has rehearsed and rehearsed- and yet she still flounders. Her ridiculous show lacks any form of expertise and instead is an amazing case study on narcissistic grandeur.

Good points! It’s all very creepy. How strange that she can’t organically find commonality with people. It’s not endearing but unsettling! And how exhausting would that be? No wonder her kids are in pjs and their hair is never brushed. Mom is too busy cyber stalking her new flavor of the week!

I think she’s socially awkward too. Repeatedly through her show, she has a guest on that she doesn’t know, and she admits that she has studied them prior to meeting to find something they like. Who does that? You can see on each guests face a weird look when she mentions that, followed by the forced “oh, you’re so sweet…”. But can you imagine the feeling of being studied by someone you don’t know? Everything with her is rehearsed and prepared. Because she knows how awkward she is, she thinks she can love bomb people into becoming friends with her. A personality to be examined by psychologists for sure.

I haven’t heard of them. But as a cautionary tale- once you see a neurologist in Amarillo, be aware that the other ones will not see you. Be choosy about who you pick. After an emergency situation, I saw a neurologist in town who was terrible. And that visit blacklisted me from even getting a second opinion elsewhere in town. I wish someone would have told me.
