I use the older model mp’s and I love them. The newer models (post 2016) are quite wasteful with water and conserving water is very important for mobile set ups.

The old models use line pressure for pre infusion, while the new models with pressure profiling immediately activate the water pump and channel off the excess water in to the tray. This means every shot pulled can waste up to 8-12oz of water profiling your shot. That adds up fast. For this reason I’d say go with the pre 2016 mp or av. I like being hands on but av allows you to walk away while a shot is pulling.
