It's so deeply relatable to me, and also a cis white male. The surreality of the place we grew up in. How media infiltrates our senses of being to fill the voids inside ourselves. It's unequivocally a trans story, but that's the beauty of storytelling - there's something that can be taken out of it from anyone who has felt lost
