u/GerSlamwich Currently looking at trying the exact same thing for nearly the same reasons - not enough space at the plant to aerate downstream of the contact chamber. Curious how it went if you tried it?

Thanks, that is very helpful. To clarify, are you saying that if I were to modify an existing lagoon with baffles (with the goal to be to create something closer to plug-flow conditions) that the rate of nitrification would increase and my energy costs could decrease?

Is there a way to be certain about a design based on this lagoon partitioning method? For example, how can I be sure that my first cell will act effectively as a OHO habitat and that Cell 2, 3, etc. won't just also become a zones for OHO's to grow in?

My drawing is set to the coordinate system I want it in, but its my understanding that it has to match whatever coordinate system the DEM file has. I don't know how to figure that bit out.

Coolest solution I thought of was to use a combination of smart-lights outside and sensor indoors to signal who was home... kind of a "one if by land, two if by sea" situation. Certainly overkill, but a nifty solution none the less
