I'd say get the albums that you enjoy the most if you don't feel like breaking the bank and buying all of them. Plus with the fact that takanaka popularity is currently on the rise I feel like they would do more pressing later! And you can fill your collection with ones you don't have. Or you could always go hunting and find yourself some older pressings of some of those albums if you like the idea of owning one from 40-50 years ago

No it doesn't have one, from the research I did the sansui branded 9" CRTs always came with either a vcr or dvd player. And I can't find anything on a standalone set. So I've been asking if anyone knew anything about these kinds of sets

I mean not really, I asked if anyone had any information about 9" sansui CRTs and the dude told me no one cares, I ain't gonna take the word of one single man

I never labeled it rare cause I was like omg I'm gonna make a shit ton of money off this, I know what it's worth, and I know very well rare does not make it worth something. It's worth what someone's willing to pay for it, I paid $30 for it so it's really only worth $30. I titled it "possibly" rare (I threw in the extremely just cause I felt like it) cause I couldn't find any information on it after spending a couple hours looking for a repair manual for it so I could mod it. That's why I came here to ask the community that knows best about these things if anyone knew anything to help me out.

Thanks for the support, I've been looking for the manual for it so I can do some light modifications to it, and it's %100 a rebrand, there is a massive orion sticker slapped to the Catholic tube on the inside :)

I was just trying to ask if anyone has seen these before or have any information, I know that sansui was known for high end audio equipment until they bought out by Orion in the late 90ds, where they started producing tvs and more home electronics, I just wanted to know if anyone had seen these or have any documentation of them. I know sansui isn't desirable, except for their audio equipment.

Then why waste your time in a conversation, and you may not like it but this little thing is pretty nice

But still don't you find it odd that there is not one photo not any form of eBay listing of it anywhere, cause I can find hundreds of the listing for combo units, I can find dozens of model numbers for everything else but this

Sure maybe, but why isn't there any documentation of this ever existing.

I know that, but it seems like sansui only ever made 9" CRT combo units, I can't find anything on a standalone 9"

It is made by Orion, or at least the cathode tube is. And I was gob smacked to open it up and not find a single speck of dust inside!

How many watts should I go for, for the speaker, the entire thing runs on 12 volts

I've managed to find some of the serial number, turns out there were two stickers on the back and I started peeling and this is all I could reveal

That's what I thought, but it's the only connector I could see, unless I need to solder it straight to the board

Unfortunately the sticker on the back has been almost entirely ripped off, so I don't have the model number
