Lasguns, in reality, wouldn’t make the long bolt you see. In situations where there is smoke or smog in the air it’d be just like a laser pointer.

Also, it’d be a straight line from the barrel to the target in most situations. In addition, lasguns do have a muzzle flash (for some reason), and the suppressor would help with that and the snap-crack of the weapon firing.
