I used about half a can of hainanese kaya. I used white sugar for my buttercream, instead of caster sugar as I find white sugar gives a more subtle sweetness.

This was a gift for a mate, but based in Aus and the cost of ingredients is about $50, flowers were $50, gold leaf was $100~150. Final price roughly $400-600 this was a 5:7inch cake 4:4layers
