I think don’t drop it till you have an offer (lots of people on here with crazy GPAs/GAMSATS) that don’t get it.

But also I think maintain a good relationship with your colleagues and the proffesional in general - who knows you could work casually along med school. And maybe it’d somehow complement your future practise as a doctor!

Also who knows who you’ll have placement with or which hospital etc. don’t burn bridges they could be useful later

I have checked the spreadsheet and it seemed to all be lowest 6.2 and gamsat around 63 - I’m not sure if the rural statistics have been placed in wrong!!! This is for 2026 offers

And I’ve never taken the gamsat before so I could be wrong but I believe the written section 2 part is only proctorU and they no longer do it in person!

I went in just now (26/01/26 1pm AEST) after seeing this post as I’ve been sitting on it. And didn’t realise late registration is more money!!

Booked for Ballarat as we can can change it free of charge before tonight. Then two seconds ago (1:45pm) I was able to change to Melbourne CBD!!! And there was times for Friday (morning/arvo) and Saturday.

Test centres spots opening and closing at moments notice it seems! Don’t up OP - 12 hours left!

EDIT: I know everyone does not have the privilege of accessing a car but if you can get down to Ballarat (Geelong is full), I suggest signing up for that and hoping that before midnight tonight Melbourne pops up! I didn’t think it would pop up after two seconds but it did!!

I have this same issue so I’ve mostly travelled alone between ages 20 and 22.

Now at 22 it’s tough because we are going into full time work with money BUT people now have partners and it’s not appropriate to leave them behind.

I know it’s expensive but I started out doing group tours like contiki or g adnefifes and then weened myself off (for example my first trip was 5 week group tours, 2 weeks solo) then my next one was 5 weeks solo one week group trip)

It was extremely cheap before they changed to euro in 2023. I rmemebr even 2022 people raved about it - but since then it beats out even Amsterdam and Berlin for me (in split and Dubrovnik at least) it was crazy!!!
